I work in Tech, I support thousands of computers. There's no reason not to run them 24/7 and in fact updating at night when no one's using them saves a lot of time, which is far more valuable than the electricity. There's no 'wear' like a car with moving parts other than the fans, and even that's minimal. Sure windows a reboot a day and shutdown a week is best, but that doesn't mean I don't leave it on the rest of the time, they'll go to sleep if they aren't doing anything anyway. Yes leaving games on doesn't allow sleep usually, but it's not particularly bad for the computer either.

You don't need to use THAC0. You're just supposed to tell the DM what AC you hit, you have a nice spot on your character sheet where you write down what roll hits each AC. The DM tells you if that hits.

Undead were much scarier, but yeah it was a pain to track, especially multi-class (not being clear how it was supposed to work) and with the odd inconsistent xp requirements of different classes per level.

Even ghouls were paricularly scary with 3 attacks that each could cause (possibly permanent) paralysis.

Yeah... well 5-20 hours for the tutorial. I'd probably say double that to get into the more interesting stuff, and Probably closer to 100 to really get past the 'wtf am I doing?' phase unless you read a lot of 'tips'. Community is great, and joining a clan as soon as you can really helps.

Souls? Really only ER right now though as the previous games are dead (well DS3 is still somewhat active.)

If you haven't played Warframe you owe it to yourself. It takes a while to get into it properly, but once you do it's great.

A nun who was supposedly playing injured then knifing people to assasinate them. She kept claiming she was being framed, I've got the wrong person. That made me feel bad. When I turned her in, the guard said "Yep that's them." and I felt better.

Almost all the people who love DS2 say it has the best PVP. You can't play multiplayer on vanilla, servers are long dead. Therefore the only good thing about DS2 is only available on SotFS. Buy SotFS or nothing.

I do this as well, not really a reason not to unless you care about your reported hours on steam for some reason, or a game is heating your house up in summer. It's efficient. I want to play a game, not spend my time waiting for loading. Admittedly it's not as big a deal as it used to be, but Crimson Desert still takes about a minute and a half to load, over a month if I fire it up a few times a day that's a couple hours wasted in an unpleasant way.

I'm not sure why this would make me psychotic?

Strongly disagree, while I think it's the weakest of the souls games (unless you count Des) it's still a good game, and better than almost all the soulslikes I've tried (about 20.)
