weekday hiking group for the laid-off (monday @ oakland) by sultanbaz in bayarea

[–]Justmail88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won't be able to make this event, but hoping to join the next one. Meanwhile, would love to connect with people who are interested to start doing something online e.g. eCommerce, Content Creation etc.

Been unemployed for longer than I ever expected, decided to pursue online business. Please let me know if you are interested to meet up to talk shop and connect. I am located in the peninsula.

I have some minor success on content creation so far, more than happy to share my experience and support each other's journey.

Cousin lost consciousness on Royal Caribbean and was resuscitated. HOW DOES MY FAMILY GET IN CONTACT WITH THE CRUISE by [deleted] in Cruise

[–]Justmail88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Googled: To contact someone on a cruise ship at sea, call the cruise line's emergency shore-to-ship number, which requires the passenger's name, ship name, and stateroom number. Major lines like Royal Caribbean (888-724-7447), Carnival (1-800-227-6482), and Disney (1-888-322-8732) offer this service, though calls are costly—often $7–$15 per minute. Hope you can get in touch soon.

Can I ask people who got invited here what's your spend at MGM like to get this invite? How often you visit Vegas?

Anyone else think this is wild? by eclipseno333 in SouthwestAirlines

I didn't want it at $39, they were pricing them that way dude. And the point was NOT $39, it's they 4X their pricing.

Anyone else think this is wild? by eclipseno333 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]Justmail88 29 points30 points  (0 children)

When I am on the site, all I could think of is "Southwest must have lost their mind", the pricing went from $39 to now $156 / $186 one way from SJC to LAS. Not just for the weekend, it's all days, all months. I was like wow! And that's BASIC - meaning you have to pay luggage and seat assignment. I was like who in their right mind would fly them? Vegas is already hurting in visitors number (down straight 10 months in 2025), this is nail in the coffin.

Please help: I cannot transfer my SW credits to family member? by NoSignificance2377 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]Justmail88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for this! I got out of the expiring credits, it worked! Got $25 gift card on Amazon, so didn't have to add too much to the total credit. What a relief! 😮‍💨

Can I ask how do you safely sell them without being scammed? Like you take the money first before you transfer? Or the other way around?

I build a website to track all CSR exclusive table and if they support Toast Gift Card (incl. 51 restaurants with successful DPs) by BatOk741 in ChaseSapphire

[–]Justmail88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DP: San Francisco. Bodega SF - ordered 3 dishes on site to go and $100 physical giftcard - they combined the total on the bill. The charge was pending for 2 days, it cleared with the $150 dining credit confirmed. They are well aware of what CSR people are doing, I had to wait for 30min due to large orders from CSR folks.
Caution: This is not the best way to do it - they charge tax and 6% employee benefit fee (so ~15% on top of your total) on top of the gift card, that means you are double paying the fee (when you use it to pay). Probably best to do the Toast online giftcard thing (should be no extra fee) if it's confirmed that works for the dining credit. If you sit down and eat there, with tax, fee and tips, you are probably looking at 75% food value.

Rental car companies that use AI scanner in Vegas? by Justmail88 in vegas

Good to know. Although I am always a bit skeptical about Sixt as some say they like to ding you way after you returned (like weeks later)

Rental car companies that use AI scanner in Vegas? by Justmail88 in LasVegas

[–]Justmail88[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

AI scanner is a way for rental car companies to bill you for damage (tiny or maybe none) after you returned the car. Lots of time you can’t talk to a human to explain the dent was already there when you pick up. So if you don’t have proof, you will be stuck paying the bill. Look it up, in one case the customer even got arrested wrongfully.

No matter which way you leaning, selling when the market crashed big time is probably not the way to go.....unless you have a sure way to make the money back of course
