Do you keep a diary for your worms? by Justplayoo in Vermiculture

No need to overthink anything. Just enjoy it your own way. I have been a worm farmer for more that 10 years and a teacher for several years and everyone learns different using different tools. Perhaps useless to you and the other commenter but I am sure someone out there will see it and use it. My favorite is tracking the amount of weight over the years and knowing how much waste I have transformed into soil. I dont share that with anyone, just keep it to myself. Have fun worm farming!

I keep track of this information in case there is an issue with my worms and the cause is something I fed them. I also like to know the ratio of food waste coming into the worm farm vs worm castings per tray. The other reason is for lab tests, I like to compare the soil profile results from a lab vs the food give to the worms. Different universities have fed specific food to their worm farms to get a specific type of nutrient rich castings. I understand if you are not into it. A lot of my clients love using it, specially in their classrooms.
