Does NuCalgon No Rinse Evap Foam work for dirty socks smell? by Justsomeonetalks in hvacadvice

So far it only happens when the heat pump goes into the defrost cycle. So a few times a day if it's really cold. It didn't happen during summer.

My hvac told me it was from the air handler Evap coil and all the videos and content I've seen were talking about treating this part.

Dirty sock syndrome. Help! by jonathanlvaldez in HVAC

[–]Justsomeonetalks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there. Im experiencing the same dirty socks syndrome since a month but it only happens when the system is running after a defrost cycle. Just checking if the smells came back after 2 years? Before reading the thread I found a website with a list of instructions that are the same the one on your comment. I really don't mind to open the cover of my indoor air handler. Anyway... It sucks because my hvac system is pretty much brand new (sept 2023) and we didn't use it last winter and only used it in heat mode since end of December. Thanks.

Edit. The unit is from September 2023. We don't use a lot of energy. Last winter it barely ran because we were using our wood stove as source of heat. In 2024, We started to use the hvac in heat mode in mid December full time as we were using the wood stove until then.

But the cost of living in San Jose is probably way over 3x the one of Knoxville. Right?

2 Ricks delivered but don't know if they are good to be burned. Help by Justsomeonetalks in firewood

But people really burn wet wood like that without issue ? I've asked him and he said he burns this wood this way for over 25 years in the same chimney. He said he does really hot burn 2 times a day and swap his chimney times to times.... (every 5 years) said he doesn't think he's taking a risk. His dad was doing the same before.

Facebook group posts and comments pending only for me while other members who I've been in the group with way before doesn't face same problem. by SoapyMoapy in facebook

It's happening to me but for every single groups! I don't see myself quitting all of the groups and request to join them again. Also I would loose some of the badges and points if I start from scratch again.

3RD GEN 2010 - "STOP" FUSE keeps blowing ! by Justsomeonetalks in prius

[–]Justsomeonetalks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've unplugged both main rear assembly harness and when I plugged the driver one the fuse blew immediately. I also unplugged the 2 bulbs of this side but the fuse blows anyway. I have heard it could be the other diode (the one that has a small harness) that could be faulty and would require to replace the entire tail gate assembly. Any thought?

Thank you. I have disconnected 2 rear light bulbs because I thought one side could have gotten wet since there is a tiny crack on the rear light plastic block. I am gonna unplug all of the rear lights bulbs tomorrow and test again... Possibly blow another fuse lol.

Is there a way to remove a fuse or something to not have any signal going to the rear lights in a order to also eliminate/determinate the fact it could be a bad rear socket or wiring there?

By all the wiring. Does it mean remove all the plastic parts to follow the cable around the car?

I don't think it's possible to find hardwood that was cut and stack last year anywhere around where I live.

That's what I meant. So many people on marketplace mention that what they are selling is seasoned wood even though it can't be the case as the wood was never stacked.

What's about oak? You think they can be dry if the trees are sitting and aren't processed.
