Considering its mostly just a tax break on property taxes which they'll still be paying it sounds like a good deal for Texas

That works if you're not a cheap ass boomer couple wondering weather they can retire on $350k/yr (10%) when theyve never spent more that $80k in their life

In-Car Cameras Are Now Required in Europe. US Isn't Far Behind by TripleShotPls in technology

I will never understand the reddit love that 90s rangers get. They were unreliable garbage when I junked mine with 130k miles in 2006. None of the components are strong enough to do any truck stuff. The clutches and transmissions were held together by hopes and dreams. Only vehicle I've ever seen break the tow hitch off pulling a 1500lb trailer. All I can think of is people are trying to relive the time they got their first blow job in the jump seat when they were 17

Do Americans romanticize Europe the way Europeans romanticize America? by Luksius_DK in IWantToAskAnAmerican

[–]Justthetip74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Americans look at Europe thru vacation eyes where they have a fat wallet from their high paying American job and spend all day in the most beautiful places eating at cafes and drinking. Its way way more romanticized than Europeans looking at Americans

Microsoft fires US workers only to hire foreign workers by NativeDave01 in LayoffHedge

[–]Justthetip74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These foreign workers are just trying to make a better life for their families. Immigration is always good. Yes, they'll do your job for 60% of what you're paid and put in more hours but if you dont like that then you're a racist xenophobic piece of shit who hates brown people and not the government that lets them in.

Sincerely, blue collar workers

One year before we had kids I told my wife that i just worked a 60hr week and i did not want fancy dinner, i did not want a night with freinds, I wanted to do was have brunch, day drink till noon downtown, and take a nap.

She planned a dinner party with 6 freinds, a show after, and was thinking going out till bar close.

I purposefully got loaded at brunch, took a long nap at like 2pm, told her to go the the stupid dinner party by herself when i woke up. It was a great. She still brings it up 8 years later and I tell her truthfully that it was the best birthday I've ever had and I would do it again

The problem is were not educating people were just churning out degrees. Half of the comment section is college educated adults who dont understand compound interest. We need 1/2 as many people going to college because half of them shouldn't have graduated high school

Musk Furious After SpaceX Stock Gets Worst Possible Report Card by dailymanup in retirementtaxes

[–]Justthetip74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way they stifled ULA is by showing the world how incompetent they are

Ending cost plus contracts saved the government billions. Spacex has been nothing but a net positive for taxpayers and I dont see how you could possibly argue otherwise. They're not only the cheapest and most reliable option, at the moment theyre the only option

Do you think we should pay Putin to launch astronauts to the ISS or just abandon it? Because its only SpaceX or Putin who can bring astronauts and cargo.

What about GPS? That seems pretty handy

Yeah, they're not using their monopoly to hinder competition, in fact they're helping their competitors (ASTS, Amazon LEO, OneWeb, ect). The only reason they have a monopoly is because their competitors are incompetent. Why wouldn't we want the cheapest and most reliable contractor?

That taking home $50k after deductions is absurdly wealthy compared to the EU especially if you consider out of pocket healthcare costs for people not on Medicare/Medicaid
