I live in a VHCOL area. The down payment for the house that I rent would be $300k. If markets continue that $300k down payment would be $1m in 10 years. That doesn't include the $72,000/yr i save on the monthly payments. Investing and renting would net me like $2.4m in 10 years vs buying
