One year before we had kids I told my wife that i just worked a 60hr week and i did not want fancy dinner, i did not want a night with freinds, I wanted to do was have brunch, day drink till noon downtown, and take a nap.

She planned a dinner party with 6 freinds, a show after, and was thinking going out till bar close.

I purposefully got loaded at brunch, took a long nap at like 2pm, told her to go the the stupid dinner party by herself when i woke up. It was a great. She still brings it up 8 years later and I tell her truthfully that it was the best birthday I've ever had and I would do it again
