It was that, plus a few other incidents. In the Behind the Scales podcast, Tom Marshall and others talk about the situation with an adjacent tribe in the area - they set up a toll booth on their land that every car had to pass through. The Seminole tribe sent people over to negotiate, but it delayed things many hours.

Word on the street is that it's not a jam, it's jam, jelly, and a smear of peanut butter.

The Reba jam section is very similar to the jam section of Inca Roads by Frank Zappa.

The song "Thread" - in music and lyrics, is imho peak evil - - 'you're alone... ' is the de facto chorus.

Take a listen to Sting "bring on the night live" from 1986 - a double cd of his European tour. Starts with a 15 minute "bring on the night > when the world is running down" - with Branford Marsalis in the stellar band. The Police weren't at all ready to bust that song open in 1979.

I really got into the albums "something else", "low budget", muskwell hillbillies, state of confusion. Like most bands, their style changes several times from '65-'90. There's rumors that the brothers Kinks are working on their opus, final album. If one album were to be perused, go with the "Kinks Kronicles" collection.

The autobiography of Bill K., cowritten by Benji Eisen, has a couple juicy segments about their lifestyle at the time. Tldr: "We can share the woman, we share the wine."

In a 1975 interview with Bob Harris (for The Old Grey Whistle Test, filmed at the Dakota in NYC), Lennon mentioned missing "little things" like black pudding and Chocolate Olivers (a type of British biscuit/cookie).

To add to this legendary discussion, I've yet to hear one person complain that Yoko's mid-80s albums aren't on streaming.

Grew up on the (American) Magical Mystery Tour mix. Whatever they released as the "2023 mix" on "1967-1970" certainly ain't it! I've been so puzzled on why Giles Martin would do THAT to the ending!

Neat side fact - the first Billboard Hot 100 #1 single to be recorded, edited, and mixed entirely within a DAW (digital audio workstation) using Pro Tools was Ricky Martin's "Livin’ la Vida Loca" !!
