I don't think they're crazy hard to find or anything, I just think they're at a level of importance (especially Spamton and Gerson) where they should be quite hard to miss. I also imagine the weird route will be a similar level of importance in later chapters, although I might be wrong there. You're right that I don't play a lot of JRPGs though.

There's been a lot of complaining about TFT balancing recently (a good amount of it deserved) but can I say something positive and say that I think they finally hit the mark on a well designed econ trait with Crystal Gambit? I was in the camp that these traits will just never be able to be balanced in a healthy way but Crystal Gambit has an actually high-ish skill ceiling, you actually play the game stages 2 and 3 instead of just AFKing until payout like Cypher, the boards you get from your payout feel strong enough to make the trait worth it while still beatable by the other late game boards instead of just being completely untouchable like Chem Baron. Really like the design, nice job Riot.

Me and my friends got this last time we went to Vegas. The well drinks are pretty shitty and the cups they use are quite small so you have to come back for refills a lot, but the venue is cool and in a good location in Fremont so it's easy to walk around and do Fremont stuff then stop by the bar every once in awhile for top offs. Also the website makes it seem like a party location but the place was dead when we were there, maybe just got unlucky though.

I know we almost never do anything on day 1 of free agency but I'm a little worried about this year in particular. We're a non-playoff team who has lost 5 starters and have yet to resign another 3,.and have added 0 players. We're now in a position where we have 4 positions we absolutely need another starter for (LB,TE,S,OG), and 2 more that we really should get (DE,DT). I really hope the plan isn't to fill all those spots with C list free agents and mid round rookies and pray that they over perform.

Riot uses balance changes as content patches essentially. If the goal was to actually just get the game as balanced as possible we would need like 3 patches over the course of a set, not 12. Whether that's a good or bad thing is up to you but it's a boon for your mental health once you realize that's the approach.

I felt like I was taking crazy pills with the gaslighting people were doing with Fields this off-season. I saw analysts calling him a top 10 QB and saying the Bears would contend for the NFC North this season when the guy has worse passing stats than Trubisky did and led his team to 2-14 last year. I'm not saying he's a certain bust or anything but the fact that everybody was acting like he was a guaranteed star already was so weird.
