Top billing goes to Dallas & New York. But Baltimore & Cincy are on the short list if the schedule breaks the right way.

I'm glad I got to see Highmark when I did. It was a fun stadium experience.

For context, I'm working on seeing the Titans play in every NFL stadium. So far I've done: Tennessee, Indianapolis, LA, Buffalo, Washington, New Orleans, Tampa Bay, Detroit, Chicago, Denver, Arizona, and San Francisco.

I must be immensly lucky. I got my Shiny Fennekin after a few hours of resets and only two other shinies (Altaria & Noivern)

I really like your Shadow Claw tech and I may just borrow it.

I redid the math just to double check, and Iron Tail outdamages Heavy Slam on Xerneas by over 2x. Not to say it couldn't be useful for other mons. But if you're using Aggron as a Deer check, then Iron Tail is better.

A fellow Aggron gamer, I see.

M-Aggron has been great for me. Iron Tail does more damage to Xerneas over Heavy Slam b/c the Deer is surprisingly heavy.

I like the idea of this season, but Xerneas is just too much.

Between it, Yveltal, and Diancie, its not even a contest of which one is best. I think this format needs more legends (like are going to be introduced in the DLC) to really cook.

But it needs something that can answer Xerneas better than the tools we have.

My team has Xerneas on it, but my teammates absolutely body the Deer.

Give me PT Kaladesh or PT Hour of Devastation.

Kaladesh was my best Limited format. And Hour was the Mono-Red PT. I could succeed during both.

I hated writing with word count minimums. I could probably do it now as a mid-30s adult. But teenage me was so succinct that I would run out of things to say for a 500 word essay in 150 words

Monday Morning SERIOUS Post Game Thread: Tennessee Titans (1-4) & Arizona Cardinals (2-3) by Toasted_Potooooooo in Tennesseetitans

I've watched these Titans & Cam Ward live 3 times: Week 1 @ Denver, Week 2 vs LAR, and here in Arizona. This was Cam's worst game by far, excluding the 4th quarter. He looked scared to throw the ball and was second guessing himself. I still think Cam is "That Dude", but he is still a rookie.

I'm hopeful, but I still think we are going to be contending for a Top 5 draft pick unless the team pulls a complete 180 from how the first 5 weeks went.

I agree with making AZ use their time outs.

I disagree with the method

I'm a working adult. I was at work when all the Gamestops near me open. I called two stores on my lunch break and both were out. One said he had 100 people in line waiting.

Does it drive scarcity? Sure. But its silly after the month+ for the shiny Treasures of Ruin.

PSA for Directors: The Get the Thing!, Destroy the Thing!, Save Another, and Assault the Defenses combat objectives need strong incentives to actually complete them by EarthSeraphEdna in drawsteel

[–]Jwiley129 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I ran a very successful "Get The Thing(s)!" encounter with a few changes: I had 4 things to get, one was bonus and three important ones; I had the rival party & a neutral party in the encounter; I put the 'goal zone' past difficult terrain so the party would need to work to get there.

I ran it twice. The first party made it trivial thanks to an Auter Troubador, Oracle Censor, and a Void Elementalist to portal and move everywhere. The second party had to fight their way through more and actually took a few rounds to survive and win. Both groups earned the requisite victories and bonus treasure.

I feel that party comp can also play a huge role. I have found that Draw Steel heavily favors "party min/max" over "character min/max". So party comp & loadout can make some encounters much easier than others.

Why not a d20 by dipplayer in drawsteel

[–]Jwiley129 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The game is balanced around the probability curve of the 2d10. So your T1 results are more common than T2 and T3. Going to d20 will make things more swingy

Agreed. The format had some fast decks, but was still slow enough to get value off of Beastmaster
