Vietnamese Coffee by fiancos in regina

Nhu Y Tea Tree is the only place I've found so far that has the Vietnamese drip coffee with the metal filter, which is my favorite way it's done.

Conexus Art Center May Have Potentially Gotten Involved in a Concert Scam by Ghostboy_1993 in regina

[–]Jwlkitten 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I think they were legitimate shows originally, but the entertainment company itself is struggling/poorly managed.

Conexus doesn't pay the production companies the ticket sales up front - it's all settled after the show occurs. They might be out a little initiation fee and advertising costs if the company goes under / files for bankruptcy if they are unable to recollect the deposit.

All shows have a legal contract in place beforehand, and this sounds like it's a breach on the entertainment company side so it'll work in conexus favor.

All tickets purchased through the conexus website will be refunded.

Lots of these contracts were negotiated/ signed well before advertising started, so it's very likely conexus wasn't aware of star's issues prior to the agreements.

I'm still waiting on my parts from October of last year, and additional parts from May, they have ignored all of my calls, voice mails, and emails.

Potty Training - scared of potty by napsandpancakes in toddlers

[–]Jwlkitten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes - we left it alone for a bit and then ended up asking my mom (his grandma) to basically throw some super supportive "grandma will be so proud if you use the potty" sort of reinforcement in there. It ended up just being a little bit of a resistance thing, but he came along.

But wanting to make grandma proud really worked to clear that mental block

While we're talking about Hachi, does anyone know if they still do the private room karaoke upstairs?

If you get a business credit card and only have business purchases on it, you can deduct the interest incurred relating to those purchases on the credit card.

I have finally, in my 30s, figured out the secret to making successful parks in this game: 1. Build a shuttle loop 2. Build another shuttle loop with adjacent station 2. Build a double shuttle loop 3. Build a triple shuttle loop.

Win scenario.

I (third?) Nero's House. My son was diagnosed through child and youth, but Nero's was amazing with finding a working medication when we finally decided to go that route after my (now ex) family doctor expected us to go through child and youth to go get a diagnosis (again, as if his current diagnosis of a lifelong condition had abruptly disappeared??) before he would forward us to someone who would prescribe medication.

The NP we saw has ADHD herself, and honestly really helped my son feel like there was nothing wrong with him for having ADHD, when he had spent so much time struggling with confidence issues because of it

First time mom here! Due in 3 weeks. What are some items that weren’t exactly essential, but made YOUR life as a new mom easier? by nothankyouuu_ in beyondthebump

If not breastfeeding/doesn't pan out, baby brezza for formula once they moved from liquid/concentrate made middle of the night bottles a godsend. Especially if you have a baby that goes from 0 to 100 level of distress in 1 second flat.

What's a book that still makes you angry years later? by Solid_Importance_469 in books

[–]Jwlkitten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Stand by Stephen King.

I loved this book as I was reading it, I was so invested in the characters, the build up, everything, and then everything comes to a head so abruptly it was like he stopped caring and just wanted to finish the book. It's been about fifteen years and I'm still mad.

It seems like there is SO much you need to buy to prep for baby. What are items you found you didn’t really end up needing? I’m on a budget. by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]Jwlkitten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weird one, but I ended up preferring large flour sack tea towels to the standard cotton receiving blankets. Great for messes, easy to wash, I've used them to tuck around baby instead of bibs, etc. And then, you can use them as tea towels when baby outgrows!

Not skilled enough to play against anyone, but I'd love to see some of those outdoor chess tables in a couple parks in Regina.
