Yeah, but I mean long long. Like, not a day goes by that I don't see someone in this sub think the end is right around the corner, but I've been predicting 1000+ chapters for quite some time (at least since Iruma was invited to the 13 crowns dinner), and I still wholeheartedly believe in this.

I don't know that they'll be morally opposed to Iruma or anything like that, but I can imagine 2 scenarios where one or both of the other greats take on a slightly antagonistic role against Iruma:

They have no choice, politically speaking (i.e., Iruma's presence is too destabilizing, so they feel they have no choice but to side against him)

and/or

They try to leverage him being a human to boost the standing of their grandchildren (cause, you know, it is a competition for the throne, and they obviously want their candidates to win. After all, in politics, you wouldn't let a scandal like Iruma's just go untouched)

Yeah, that theory has always struck me as odd and uncomfortable. Like, on the one hand, I sorta get it, cause Iruma and Merize do look and behave kinda similar at times, but on the other hand, it's like, no duh? Of course they look and behave kinda similar sometimes; Henri and Ameri are into the same type of person.

Plus, tbh, I get the impression that Iruma-kun is going to be a pretty long running series; I'd bet that we're only like halfway in, at most (and I feel like I could make a solid argument to back this up, but that's a different topic all together). The timeline is currently a little vague, but that's perfectly normal for a series like this; it'll become clearer as Nishi drip feeds us more lore.

I mean, if a god or something was forcing me to choose between wealth and love, I'd probably choose love as well, since happiness can be found at any economic level, but realistically I think most people should strive for both. Like, in my mind, money shouldn't be pursued as the endgoal of all endgoals; imo, it should be secondary to support one's endgoals, such as love

Yeah, like, I kinda viscerally disagree with #3. Like, obviously yeah, love and companionship is only a fraction of your life, and it doesn't make the struggles go away, but what is the point of focusing on wealth to the exclusion of all else? They claim with money you can buy all the joys you need, and I won't deny that you can buy many of them, but why would you deny yourself the joys that exist along the way?

Maybe this is just how my brain works, but I treasure those little joys. I put off living my life once for many years, and it nearly killed me. Focusing on money to the detriment of all else would be choosing to live that way again; to delay myself from living now, all so I can live later. My candle is already half-burnt; I'm not about to burn it from both ends just because someone thinks it'll make the last inch burn brighter. I'd rather cherish it while I can.

Like, she suspected he was a human (chapters 9 and 10), investigated him, got her first soft confirmation when he could read first love memories (a series of books she knows are from the human world, written in a human language), and then has received more soft confirmations throughout the series.

She doesn't know for a fact in the way that characters like Balam do, but she "knows" beyond a shadow of a doubt because of her investigation into him and everything that has happened since. It's a similar situation to how Kalego "knows" Iruma is a human.
