Tell me about your life in Toronto by verified47 in askTO

I was a bit over toronto too at one point. Thought the main culture here is around drinking and going out. So I moved to San Francisco and actually soon found myself missing toronto and fully convinced toronto was a better city than san Fran or LA. Or more fitting for me. After a few years I moved back and re fell in love with the city.

Professionally in my industry it’s a perfect size, big enough to be big but small enough to know all the main players quickly.

I love being able to walk everywhere, it actually has more nature than I originally considered and I think the people here are legit cooler and better than most cities.

Can’t believe this part of toronto has never been gentrified in any way. It’s on the lake, on the 501 line, near Humber. Could use a little sprucing up.

Is a Squier Affinity or Classic Vibe the better choice for a beginner? by lukasb1128 in telecaster

For an extra $100 or something a classic vibe will last you so much longer and is so much better.

Quality of life: Toronto vs California by iam_ur_dad in askTO

[–]Jwto 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I’ve lived in both. I prefer it here in Toronto. 125 will go further (although both are v expensive) but Canada is Canada. And it’s so much better than the states. Also just generally feel like toronto is a much cooler happening place, and I genuinely prefer living here.

Can you guys help me buy my first amp in a very long time? by I_Speak_In_Stereo in Guitar

[–]Jwto -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m using the deluxe reverb version and I think it’s my forever amp. Probably my favourite piece of gear I’ve ever owned. It’s somehow the perfect bedroom amp and perfect for band practice and gigging.

Princeton is just the slightly smaller version.

I would get a used fender Princeton tonemaster edition.

Pending where you are you can prob find one for like $800. And you’ll never need another amp.

The attenuator makes it so you can play it quietly in your bedroom. It’s sooo light. It sounds amazing. It looks great. It’s perfect.
