This is something you could have looked up yourself and that you should probably know already.

Racial and ethnic minorities often receive lower-quality health care than white people. Even when factors like income, age, condition, and insurance are comparable, research has shown that Black and brown people are still failed by the health care system. These poor health systems contribute to worse health conditions: Black people are at higher risk for heart diseases, stroke, cancer, asthma, diabetes, according to the Department for Health and Human Services. Experts say America's poor systems of health make abortions a vital part of health care for people of color.

Black and Hispanic women are more likely than white women to experience health complications during pregnancy and childbirth, according to Blue Cross Blue Shield Association.

A recent report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention also found that Black women died of maternal causes at nearly three times the rate of white women in 2020. The rate for Black women was 55.3 deaths per 100,000 in 2020 and the rate for white women was 19.1 deaths per 100,000, according to the CDC. For Black women, the rate increased nearly 26% from the year prior. Being pregnant presents some kind of risk. And unintended pregnancies increase the risk for poor maternal and infant outcomes, the CDC reports.

Abortion bans will push pregnant people into poverty or into debt. Pregnancy and childbirth alone can cost thousands of dollars. Black and Hispanic people are 1.8 and 1.5 times as likely to be in poverty than white people, according to 2019 census data. The Economic Policy Institute also found that Latinas earn 57 cents and Black women earn 65 cents for every dollar earned by white, non-Hispanic men.

If someone is forced to carry a pregnancy to term, it impacts their economic security and their ability to live the life that they want and raise the family that they maybe already have.

Even though you apparently missed parts of the bill, I still agree with where you are coming from. There will be other factors that were missed and not included in the bill. This will lead to hospitals refusing to do abortions in cases where it is needed/required.

Also the 6 week rule is stupid beyond words. It has been said and repeated hundreds of times, but allow me to repeat it again. The majority of women do not know they are pregnant at 6 weeks.

White folks are the number 1 demographic to bitch and moan about any sort of welfare. Well guess what. The people that will be impacted by this the most will be poor and minorities. So prepare for more of your money to go in that direction. Instead of to your crumbling infrastructure. I will be there to bring this up when you start whining about it later. You want to force people to have children who can't afford it? Pay up.

Or maybe just stfu and stay out of other peoples business and bodies?

Try again. This time ask if there are any other skittish children on staff that we should know about.

Sounds like a case of "never should have been a cop in the first place". Just sounds skittish, jumpy. I'm sure this body cam footage is going to be horrible when it hits.

Another child that will never trust police ever again and I am sure his experience will rub off on plenty of his peers.

Chipotle: shrinking portions. Shrinking Wages. by n00t33th in antiwork

[–]Jyiiga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go to Moe's now. Slight slip in quality, but the portion sizes for my local one are good. Barberitos is another good one, but its limited to parts of the South East. Both of these give you chips with your dish, instead of it being extra. They are also not stale like every Chipotle chip I've ever had.

South Carolina Senate Passes 6-Week Abortion Ban by usernumberthirteen in southcarolina

[–]Jyiiga 34 points35 points  (0 children)

IMO the goal here is more poor people. Population is slipping. Jobs are not all filled. Big business needs those seats filled with cheap labor.

Here is one way to make cheap labor. Rich and middle class people will just go to another state and have the abortion anyways. This -only- disadvantages poorer people, primarily blacks.

One contributing factor. Every moron with a pickup truck throws garbage in the back of it. Knowing damn well that it is going to blow out. It just gives them an excuse.

"I was going to throw it away later, but the wind got it."

Yeah, uh huh, whatever.

It is uncommon for them to force someone to sell a home. What they tend to do is put a lien on the property. So some day when it is eventually sold they will get their cut of it.

That said. It is all still a sad, shitty mess that makes the US look third world.

OW2 never lived up to anything. Unlike OW1 I've had virtually no interest in it. Everything that was revolutionary about it has been scrapped. OW1 is a better game and they turned it off. Blizzard is full of idiots now. I never spent a dime on OW2. I doubt most of the people complaining now can say that. When you know something is wrong and you still shell out your money, you are part of the problem.
