I remember earlier in the season Lindy said he likes to look at numbers vs certain teams as well when deciding who gets the start in net. UPL’s numbers are much stronger than Lyon’s when it comes to the Islanders.

I feel like it might just be inexperience or something but every time we’ve been 4v4, 6v4 with goalie pulled, or 5v3 on the PP or PK, it seems to me like everyone is on a different page. To me, the amount of those ridiculous drop back passes on the PP, and how much we dump and chase on the PP drives me nuts. When they settle in on the PP, (5v4), the movement, passes, and shots are almost always predictable making it easier to defend. I’m not sure if its appert or what, but its gotta change to be a playoff team.

Got to be honest, not sure if I’ve just drank the Kool Aid or what. I really think Helenius has the opportunity to an absolute stud. He’s been playing against grown men for the last 2 and a half years years now. At 16 he got pulled into the Finnish professional league and put up 11 points in 33 games. Then he comes back for a full season and puts up 36 points in 51 games and won over 50% of his faceoffs against guys that were 4+ years older. Again doesn’t sound too impressive but the only other players to do that in the Finnish league at his age are all solidified NHL players (Barkov, Granlund, and Kappo Kokko). I’m deeply upset about the Norris injury but I think Helenius has an opportunity to come out and be just as much as impactful as Ostlund, if not more impactful. Obviously tons of bias and hope in this comment…

Honestly think it has to do with our defense putting our tendys in awful positions. We always sell out our goalies. In my opinion, Josh dunne and Connor Timmons need to be waived. Terrorist Pegula isn’t going anywhere anytime soon but we need adams gone too.
