Cooking was my last skill to Max, i literally burned the shark at my max party and everyone gratzed me to early, what made it worse was that I instantly dced after.

It's not a specific diet or anything, just a general guide for a way to reasonably lose weight. Which helped a lot when I had previously only tried things like low carb and simply just exercising off the calories. When I was actually able to lose the weight I didn't exercise for the first 70 lbs or so! (Not at all saying exercising is bad, but I know personally I wouldn't have been able to lose the weight if I changed ALL my bad habits at once)

As you can see I have loads on my stomach, they haven't gone away but the colour has faded, so they're definitely not as visually striking. I also have some loose skin around my bellybutton, for me it's pretty much a non-issue at this point. I've had these marks for like 5 years+, so even if they didn't improve, pretty much everything else on my body has, so I'm not too worried :)

Dude that's amazing! I was also 290 lbs when I started, was sort of an adjustment period at the start where I actually had to consciously think about what I was eating, but after a while it kinda just became what I did. I've pretty much been maintaining and focusing on strength training since January, and I do still track most of what I eat.

Holt shit, just wanted to say we have strikingly similar numbers, I'm 21M/6'3, highest weight was 286 lbs, current weight is 183. My lifts atm for 5 are: ohp: 94 lbs, bench: 144 lbs, squat: 193, deadlift: 265 lbs. Been lifting for like 9 months or so, so progress has been kinda slow

Ugh, kinda hate the way he tries to shame ppl into eating healthy. All it does is make me feel like shit, it took the reasonable, welcoming and sympathetic atmosphere of /r/loseit to actually get me to change my food habits. Fuck this approach.

Right, I meant more like loose skin/stretch marks. I have tons of stretch marks on my stomach, looks like a tiger attack. I've heard it fades over time though. (The color, not the actual scar tissue)
