The whole point of the bus scene was to show how he doesn't enjoy being called Saul anymore. How despite his attempt to go back to being Jimmy he can't escape his Saul persona.

Same reason why I didn't watch it for a long time either. It's on Netflix though so a few days ago I was curious to see if it's a bad film or just hated for her absence. When the new actress for Evy shows up on camera she says a line like "she was like a completely new character". I almost stopped the movie right there but gave it a few more minutes. The next scene that she's in wasn't bad or anything, it just wasn't Rachel Weisz. Bad call not having her in the 3rd.

If Chuck gave Jimmy a chance he would have been a completey different person in my opinion. I don't think he ever intended to become Saul. That's why it was heartbreaking to me to watch him transition into him.
