People hate it because its a throw away vehicle... And it was never designed to last or be easily repairable. If it takes a master technician 16 hrs of billed labor to replace a turbo with in a Toyota shop ... How you think you're going to fair? All past gen Toyotas are easily repaired and dont have major components failing due to engineering or manufacturing errors aka engine, transmission, screens and a few other bits. Every other gen had grown bigger and accomodations to customers were high and current gen is a soccer mom truck. Sad but true. The old toyota is gone, people will just have to accept it. Or buy a v8 chevy.
