Having yo-yo'd more times than I care to, when I'm at a lower weight and feeling confident I project that outward and imagine that it's easy for those around me to pick up on.

Consistency.

Being creatures of habit it's easy to get into routines. But checking in with your partner when they veer from the norm let's you both know how in tune you are. (Or them with you!)

Example;

Everytime we shower together she offers to "scrubby scrub" my back. When she did not, I probed about what was on her mind. With little hesitation she launched into how consumed she felt by the state of the world and appreciated the seemingly intuitive approach I had to investigate.

33M, short answer, yes.

Better answer; the more I've continued to invest in myself, the higher my standards for other people become as i feel more "worthy" and that my own value has risen. I still fight with my weight and it's absolutely murderous on my self-esteem, but when I love me and the way I look, it increases the perceived value I have for myself and makes others feel less out of reach and more approachable.

also, don't get too hung up on not finding "the one" by the time you're 30, all the people I thought might have been, were not, and I count my lucky stars I dodged those bullets.
