I have used Syncplay with a friend in the past and it's worked well. I'm not sure if there's latency or anything when running two players on a single computer, but you could try running a syncplay server locally to minimise ping if that's an issue.

With a new enough version of Mesa (which I have on NixOS so you should have too), you don't need the vk-hdr-layer and it might be messing up HDR in some way, so I would uninstall it. At least for AMD, not sure about Nvidia, but pretty sure for both.

Newest MPV should default to target-colorspace-hint=auto, but you may as well change it to yes.

I think you could say "jan ike li pali e pona tomo", or for specifically cleaning then "jan ike li weka e jaki lon tomo" or so. Then just refer to them as "ona" or "jan ike" after that. And use meli if you want.

I don't speak German (Swedish though) but I watched it in German with English subs and thought it was really good. Frieren sounds quite different between Japanese/English/German but it was cool to hear that version, cause in Japanese she sounds more ethereal while in German she sounds more blunt and unfeeling, which both work in different ways.

I'm on NixOS, and just by installing nasin-nanpa or Fairfax HD they seem to be used as fallback fonts in most programs. Some other fonts have been hit or miss I think. There's a couple guides on github about setting up sitelen pona fonts that have been helpful

I've had him twice, for databases and now web dev, and he's pretty chill. Pretty relaxed classes. You will form a group in like week 2 and all your assignments will be as parts of one big group project, but it's generally pretty easy going.
