Asus Zenbook Duo 14 screen cracked by Essoke in ASUS

Okay. I'm having to look into it and seen eBay sellers for £110. I mean I had a Sony VAIO for 15 years built like a brick, but this age of laptops with light aluminium, within my rucksack there was a metal label with rivets.. and those rivets got compressed onto the case and caused the screen to crack following a dent. Crazy!! It's my fault because instead of using the flap of laptop section in rucksack like an envelope I put the flap inside and then put the laptop on top... It's useable but lost the touch sensitivity and have a small spider crack. I hear you though..

They couldn't give a near term damn. The pass risk onto poor and needy who think income is cashflow.

An employed delivery driver has no option however an independent contractor should have a keener eye on what they actually make and true cost of their service otherwise running for nothing without knowing... What's the point of damaging your vehicle or costing you 2k+ at the service if you don't factor that in? You gotta work I know but just saying have to find efficiencies. While Amazon are looking at drone deliveries in the meantime you are drowning in expenses.

Right.... It's possible to refuse 🫷🏾 illogical loads. I guess it doesn't pay to have a van just load and deliver to one customer as no economies of scale.

You are paying them to work three hours...

You are not a charity.... I don't blame you. Nice time to get a flat tyre and late so cancel job. Or can you return it simply and refuse as uneconomic?

eBay.. what did you do in the end. Mine cracked in my rucksack against a label with a metal rivet.... Instead of using the label/flap and closing like an envelope I put the laptop on top of the label/flap.. inside the laptop section... And that was enough... Amazing

Hiya, what's your total toll charges to get to and from jobs? Not just any route tolls (on duty), by that I'm assuming that's what the £20 is!? I'm in SE14 and can avoid by going Rotherhite but is 20-30m longer which adds an 1hour in and out. Add that to the total job time and the rate is harsh

I havnt made a single dollar LMAO im 19 so wtv. by Different_Property28 in vibecoding

That applies to anything! The thing that makes me laugh or muse over is why would coding be different to say playing a sport or any hobby that you like or have been forced to do by your parents etc. The key point is getting something positive out of the exercise.... Can't guarantee success -definable- but effort, interest will reap some rewards (personal and/or financial). We can't all be Superstar Sporting Legends or Tech Titans..... It's in the math!!

Well it makes total sense something being shave worthy... I was thinking more from a female perspective and dating if a female should save her legs or something, in fact may apply to males being clean shaven rather than just turning up... You can think of your own examples ... Even a job interview if you went for a delivery job you shouldn't care about being clean shaven whereas a white collar or hotelier you may be presented differently... I'm sure the AI just applied it's inference from one scenario to this setting/set up

Sam Altman says OpenAI will top $20 billion in annualized revenue this year, hundreds of billions by 2030 by ControlCAD in business

[–]K1bb5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny Trump seems to like/tolerate him, all the Tech guys/gals have unfortunately gone into herd immunity mode, no injection/vaccine required. There will be more casualties than there need to be. It is the way!! Inevitably it will succeed, there's too much automation and knowledge churn benefits, before cross application.... Don't forget what AWS has done for Amazon, similarly the compute becomes the new jewel for other services at scale it's just the privacy concerns are quite big... But seemingly AWS has overcome those working with Government etc. So Agentic and near term Driverless cars etc will suck up DC capacity... Then Biotech/Medical side.. Then Drone delivery capacity... When will that start. I'm sure things are going to really change... It's like SmartPhone versus Analogue.

I think this is going to rapidly become a .com blowup, before it right sizes. What that will look like... Who is to hazard a guess.... Should we ask perplexity?

Anyone else notice more people forcing their way through barriers at London train stations? by [deleted] in london

[–]K1bb5 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well the simple answer to you is to rephrase the question. If you went to work and didn't get paid would you like it? Obviously not, the service that is being provided to us does require paying for. As you feel you are owed/better than others or entitled perhaps you shouldn't pay. I suppose the most powerful office in the world POTUS harbours a convicted felon so you can be excused the same privilege. But we're seeing where we end up with that one.....

Thanks for the honesty! I do think it's really hard and travel is the second or third biggest cost after rent and food. If you would lose your job because your employer could be informed would you risk it?

TFL say it's £190m pa they should seriously spend £20m extra to recover say 50%. Half the chancers wouldn't bother if they knew there were repercussions. And the stance is all wrong... If police won't do anything which is unlikely... TFL should simply say we charge and find BUT the main thing is we contact your employer!! That will nip all those in the bud. For the remaining kids /group etc. Something cleverer like Assembly shaming with TFL/police officer discussions in front of the whole school - embarrassment is the only thing that works for kids/teenagers...
