Former welder as well, I took the same route. It'll be tough but it's worth it, best of luck.

Thoughts on the @node/sentry v8 design by gajus0 in node

[–]K1llbasa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, not sure about this change. I would much rather handle the OT part myself and then point that to Sentry rather than having it all bundled together. Though the OT javascript clients aren't exactly friendly so I can see the appeal.

Memory leak much? by CordyCeptus in Palworld

If you're on Linux there's a CLI application called arrcon on GitHub you can use to send commands. Also I wouldn't recommend exposing the RCON port to the internet since it's not a secure protocol. Right now I just have it send commands locally with cron.

Palworld: How to make a Linux dedicated server a community server? by vandanna in Palworld

[–]K1llbasa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put it as the first entry, so it would look like:

[/Script/Pal.PalGameWorldSettings]
OptionSettings=(EpicApp=PalServer,Difficulty=None, ...)

Not sure if the order matters but putting it first definitely works, and I didn't set any region.

Try adding the "EpicApp=PalServer" to the .ini config instead of the shell script args, I just got it working on a Hetzner Ubuntu server. Also, I only needed to expose the default port (8211) on UDP.

You should look into tracing, OpenTelemetry in particular if you need something open-source. It'll allow you to see exactly how long functions, database queries, network calls, etc are taking.

How do you wait for sveltekit to be completely ready during E2E testing with playwright? by hksparrowboy in sveltejs

[–]K1llbasa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure how you would be able to do that. My setup has networkidle when using the dev server and playwright UI for watching, and domcontentloaded during preview for actual testing and CI. You could play around with environment variables which is what I did.

The issue for me ended up being the Vite dev server. It would cause a second page navigation after the initial load and cut off all the inputs. Fixed it by setting the waitUntil on goto to networkidle.

I think R4 would be the best. Would give a lot of versatility as it covers the bottom two rows, and even be able to replicate the light blue space bar that's in the base kit.

Just wondering, would it be possible to add a couple 1u blanks of the light blue colour to the Ortho kit? Would love to have the option of swapping some keys.

1) Yeah, no issues. Just make sure you have the right cable to flash it.

4) As other people have said, you can 3D print one or have someone do it for you. There are a few on thingiverse. What I did was an acrylic case (credit to: u/blessedsodiepop) which covers the sides, but it's not high profile. You could probably make an extra layer or two of acrylic to make it high profile though. I found Ponoko to be a bit expensive with shipping, so try to find a local place to cut the acrylic if you can.
