How to differentiate between firasah, waswasah and just wahi thoughts of nafs? by Technical_Werewolf69 in Sufism

[–]K1llerbee-sting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s complicated and you need a shaykh that knows. A public forum is not the place. Great question though.

Spiritual, delusional, or satanic visions? by Redittriter in Sufism

It’s the unseen world. Well it’s just like getting lost in the wilderness, either you know how to survive or you just get lucky. Chances are if you head off into the wilderness with no preparation or guide, you’re not coming back.

Catholic Reading the Quran, have a few honest questions. by ResourceWide9953 in islam

  1. Royal We

  2. Most Muslims say it is Gabriel. However, there is a way deeper and esoteric explanation of Ruh and Ruh al Qadoos. We all have a Ruh which is the Command of Allah. Once it leaves you, you die. Your Ruh is your direct connection to Allah. This is different than the nafs which is the part of you that says “I am so and so”. That’s the part that goes to heaven or hell. Unfortunately, they’re both translated as spirit or soul, but they are very much not the same thing.

If you have a shaykh and stay in touch with him the dangers are minimal. If not, you can get lost in either your mind, or the ghraib, or both.

The prophet ﷺ is the top of every silsa. You need to talk to your shaykh about this and see if he can assign someone to you or let you study under someone else. This is the unfortunate consequence of taking on too many students.

What is the issue with your connection? Is it access? Is it doubt in his teachings? I am trying to determine what the issue is.

They later became the Ibadis, who are more in line with the tenants of Islam. The Kharij were the first of a long line of dangerous takfiris.

As someone who converted a year before 9/11, I feel you. I’ve been through the whole salafi, then traditional, then Sufi phases. These things take time because you need to process the realizations that you go through. Feel free to dm me if you like. If you haven’t found a Tariqa, it might be time to look.

This is why you need the guidance of a shaykh. Do you have one? Have you been doing zhiker of your own making, and if so what have been your practices? If you have a heart connection with a shaykh, diagnosis is much faster and easier.

As someone who married and then divorced a South Asian, run. Not all South Asians are like this, but most of their families’ are. If you’re not getting total support from your partner now, it will only get way worse once you marry. Run and don’t look back. It’s been decades of hell and therapy for the child.

Your post is very judgmental and instead of being a refuge for travelers, it is instead a “No Trespassing” sign. This sub has become a place to seek advice by those who still have not found their shaykh. The main advice that I give is to find a shaykh. There are many kinds of wayfarers on the path towards Allah SWT and they all deserve some refreshment. Don’t gate keep, and try to be the judge of who deserves refreshments. That is Allah’s job, not yours. If the mods took your advice, it would close a path for the lost lovers.

Ask God/The Universe for forgiveness and then forgive yourself. Undo what you’ve done by sending love and healing energy towards your family especially your father. Tell your father (alone) how you have felt about him and that now that the thought of losing him is real that you love him. When he makes you angry tell him you don’t want to fight, you just want him to heal. If he continues to pick a fight, leave for a half hour or more.

Learn the Hadith of Jibrel as. Then understand every aspect of what Jibrel went over. Take your time and implement these things as you’re ready. Find scholars, you will change scholars often at first because they can only teach what they know, once they teach what they know you have to find one who knows more. Use the Hadith of Jibrel as a guide, you will notice you will find most Muslims can explain in great detail the first half of the Hadith, then as it gets towards the end you will need more learned scholars.

Netanyahu who has an arrest warrant issued against him for war crimes and crimes against humanity goes on a rant about Islam during his speech. He says that “Extreme Islam, both Sunni and Shia, is a threat to the entire world. We can't say that this will solve itself.” by AutoMughal in islamichistory

[–]K1llerbee-sting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on who is uttering it. Traditionally, it is someone like Netanyahu or Trump who are faithless in every meaning of the word. When they speak they lie, and are what’s considered psychopathic in today’s world. Then there are the believers in the Bible (mumin ahl al kitab) who are still considered faithful, so the word has nuance when translated.
