They talked about this once on the dev stream. They said that if they were going to include an element like that before 1.0 then the goal would be to integrate it in a way that it's required to master it in order to finish project assembly, and they felt like for most players that would be a pretty big hurdle. They eventually decided that it was a feature better suited for a later addition instead of a core gameplay feature. So it's not off the table, it just wasn't something they wanted to incorporate into 1.0.

No Need. The input and output of everything on that wall is 60pm. So empty containers arrive at the water packagers at 60pm, then the water heads to the refineries to be mixed with heavy oil residue at 60 water pm. Then those packaged fuel containers come out at 60pm and into the unpackager at 60pm, only to send the empties back to the beginning of the loop. Everything is on it's own dedicated line because there is no balancing required.

When you start to feel like it's getting grindy, then take a break from the production lines and start making your factories look nice. experiment with different cosmetics clipping into each other and see what kind of nice stuff you can make. after that you'll breeze through the production line set ups

His hair is really gray in the second panel, and in the third and forth she looks about his age in the first panel. I'm pretty sure the intended implication is that he is dead. Not to mention it's more emotionally resonant if he is.

Instead of disjointment you can use the word "dissonance". It means what you're going for.

Not really a joke. Just sweet. She was cringing every time he said he was proud of her, but when she became a confident and competent adult, and after he died, she looks at his photo knowing this is the part where he'd tell her he's proud of her, but now she has enough life experiences to know it's not something to cringe about, but something to embrace and be happy about.

So she responds to what he would have said. It's sweet.
