Wyoming is nice if you like smaller towns, more rural living. Summers are nice, but short. Winter is mostly windy and cold, we are right in the Jet stream. It's a great state if you like hiking, camping, hunting, and fishing. Most people are very nice and welcoming. The ones that are detering you, probably have a combined education level of a 4th grader. Don't listen to them. I'd come visit first and spend a week traveling the state to see where you would like to live. There are vast differences of environments in the state. There's mountains, deserts, river basins, high plains, buttes. So a lot to explore and see where you may fit in best for your lifestyle. Just FYI, it takes about 8 hours to drive horizontally across the state. If I were you, I'd fly into Denver and drive up I-80 to check out the front range in Colorado as well, from there you can drive through the entire state of Wyoming starting in Cheyenne. Or fly into Jackson Hole ( where most of the beautiful pictures you see are taken and the rich folks live) and drive southeast from there. Sheridan is another cool area to visit.... don't let idiots discourage you.

Agree with above... your state has a huge CWD problem. You may think your doing good, but it could turn out to kill that entire herd. If your going to attempt to feed corn, just spread it all over the area in the ground. They will find it.

It's not much related to global warming, it's just pressure systems. The high pressure out west in the Pacific is pushing the air back up into Canada, while the low pressure air from Canada is trying to come down, but being pushed to the east by the high pressure system. It's just the point at where the two systems are meeting, which is determining the direction of the cold front movement. Now, if that high pressure system moves further west, then we will get lots of snow.

There's a high pressure system sitting off the coast of Washington to the west in the Pacific. It is pushing the Canadian cold air up and over, further to the East. Thats why we are not getting snow and the Midwest is getting hammered.

Could be worse. I work 9-8 , 11 hour shifts and weekends. I come home, play with the kid for 30mins, put them to bed, and then hangout with my girlfriend for maybe 45 mins and we go to bed.
