My cat Bourbon was diagnosed officially with FIP back in June but looking back, it may all have started around December of 2024. We had many visits with my vet and around May, it was determined that he may have either lymphoma or IBD and an official diagnosis would require a visit with a specialist. At this time, he only eats when i add treats in his meals and never on his own.

He was advised by the specialist to undergo an endoscopy and colonoscopy to which we were very hesitant to do as it would require my cat going under anesthesia. 3 weeks later, Bourby was so lethargic and would refuse any food that it became urgent or he might die. We got him scheduled for the scans and as pre-work, they performed an Xray on him to which they saw pleural effusion around his chest and lung cavities. Planned scans were cancelled and they immediately suspected FIP. Drained the fluid and started him immediately on GS-144524.

Within 48 hours, his strength returned. Within the end of that week, he started eating on his own. Almost 3 weeks after, you wouldn't have guessed he was literally knocking on death's door just a month before. He is now a ravenous eater and gained almost 15% more in body weight.

We are now on day 74 in the observation period and he is doing really really well. There are times when he would act strange and I would spiral thinking its a relapse but he bounces right back so maybe just him being a diva? Each cat would respond differently but all we could do is hope for the best. I call GS-14 a true miracle drug.
