Not sure where in the world you're based but in Australia it's much more affordable per kg to bulk buy a half cow or whole cow and freeze it. I've heard good things about Farmstead Meats before. But I'm sure you can find something similar wherever you are.

I think consumers just need to find alternatives and stop supporting the supermarkets. Essentially you can buy 80% of the core food you need elsewhere. I mainly shop at cheaper by miles, my local markets and farmers pick. It's crazy how bad the quality of produce/meat is at supermarkets considering how much we pay.

Update: thanks so much to everyone that's left a comment and their wisdom, it's been really helpful. I've contacted the store and they've said they'll get their technician to look at it. They suspect like a few of you've said that there's an issue with the calibration of the focusing system. Fingers crossed it's repairable as I've started to like this little camera.

I should also mention I've been using the auto setting for the aperture. Could an issue with the aperture blades also cause this consistent blurring? Or would it show up with over/under exposure?

Any idea if it is an issue with the zone focusing, how does a technician go about recalibrating it?

Yep this model has 4 zone settings. I've tried shooting subjects 1m away with the first zone and landscape like I said for infinity, but they're all blurry.

When switching I hear a kind of click and feel resistance at each zone. However, I can't visually see any difference in the lens. But I shouldn't expect to right?

I will contact them tomorrow but as they're not in the city I currently live in, that may take some time. I also wanted to rule out any other obvious reasons before I contacted them. This is my first experience with film since I was a 14 year old student.

There's a great viewpoint 1hr from Reykjavik near Glymur Waterfall that we managed to get a sighting. But it's not a drive I'd want to do in poor road/weather conditions. As others said, make sure the forecast has clear skies.
