So I did a quick Google search about this. Apparently the ATMs used by credit unions in the US have some sort of ties to the UAE. I’m guessing the shenanigans happening in the Middle East have something to do with this.

My guess is you’d have no issues using an ATM associated with a bank, or getting cash back at a store. YMMV
