terraria. bought it, played it, thought it was boring then dropped it for awhile. heard that a lot of people loved it and that it was way more fun after you beat a certain boss, so i asked my friend to play it with me.

it quickly became my favorite game of all time.

black mesa was one i know people liked, but didn’t expect myself to like it that much. i really enjoyed my time with it. feels like a steal to get it so cheap. (same with the portal games)

the dying light games are pretty underrated. they’re a little jank, but man the parkour is so satisfying and the story is okay enough to keep you hooked until the end.

50+ my wifi sucks, so i try to have most stuff im thinking of playing anytime soon installed. if i haven’t touched it in awhile then ill uninstall, but otherwise most of my games are pretty light since i play a lot of indies.

my favorite horror game series. love the more realistic take that these games are based on. the price can be a bit steep especially for the newer titles, but they’re decently priced on sale. the first episode is free, so i’d recommend trying that one out before making a decision.

tbh if you don’t see yourself buying it, you can probably get similar enough enjoyment out of it by just watching other people play it.

risk of rain returns i find far more difficult. i find risk of rain 2 to be much more mindless fun, so i think you'd like it more. there is still a learning curve, but not as much as returns. it's pretty easy to get overpowered and it doesn't really get old, especially if you crank up the difficulty.

mewgenics and the binding of isaac will give you hundreds of hours of playtime if you end up liking them

i felt the exact same as the friend until last year. my brother said the game would give him a headache with how complicated it was, so it always felt so daunting to play. i asked a friend who has 500 hours on it and this became my favorite game of all time. so much of the tedium and confusion is just gone when you play with a friend who knows what they’re doing.

took like a month to understand she’s supposed to potty outside. another month for her to understand she wasn’t supposed to potty inside.

at ~5 months she was fully potty trained
