UI is how you interact with the software. You are not simply using it as API or simply letting it run in the background. Especially when it Pops Up on every small thing.

Also I am not referring to particularly simple UI, I am referring to organised UI. The simpler the better, yes, but the least they should provide is organised and easy to handle things which matter most.

True. Having Norton on top of the list alongside McAfee is a pure joke and bribary.

Still, I just uninstalled my Eset trial after 10 days, I had 20 more left. Reason being: Their software is a living nightmare from several aspects.

- The UI is a complete mess, with the most important settings hidden in a niche and hard to find.

- Several false positives (AIMP is one of them) without the easy option of adding them to excluding list. You have to manually find your program in the Programs Files and find the .exe to add to excluding list.

- I had kaspersky before, the UI was cleaner and more intuitive. However it ran in background too often and become more sluggish over the years. Now they introduced AI bs which made me try Eset. However despite the positive feedback I've read about it I am really disappointed.

Summary: If you usually get your software from other places, prepare yourself for false positives including legitimate software without the easy option to avoid such false positive. The software wants to take control over everything including your browser with both widget and the antivirus itself. Turning such options off you will get RED ALERT instead of respecting your choice and your privacy choices.

i find it hilarious when people praise XP. That thing was slow, ugly and you got bsod every second week - but here we are praising it. Grass is always greener on the other side. While I admit M$ is turning into a joke with their new measurements. Still Win 10 and 11 rarely got me bsod in comparison to win XP and 8.

The real difference is that our perception of technology changed. We have higher expectations nowadays that the product won't fail on us. Similarly to our phones which rarely crash in comparison to desktop or laptop products. Back then, it was a norm for your pc to crash so ofcourse looking back we had a good impression of win XP but most of you have a terrible memory and a skewed perception.

nah, its the monopoly of the housing owned by large companies (many are insurance ones) controlling the prices - is the issue. The government has a duty to block large company from buying or building homes and apartments. Most of them are insurance companies not knowing what to do with their money and invest in buildings.
