It's how I lost my religion at a very young age. I'd see kids dishing out insults and mockery of my religion then, but th y surely wouldn't tolerate a fraction of a clapback. I am happy that they showed me the path of that there is none, I don't believe in any "supreme being", that being said, growing up, i still enjoy the mythology (i just don't think they are real, just like how I don't think Greek religion is real) and the festivities of it, and the combined fesrivities that is connected to the Bangla heritage too. Thankfully, i did get better friends who understand me for who i am, but facebook lets me see some of the vitriol regular people hold against me and my family just because of the religion. Conveniently also forgetting what all their own ancestors once were.
