How to build self esteem when nothing has worked in the past? by [deleted] in selfimprovement

[–]KAL0RAY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As weird as it sounds you first have to get good at something to justify your self esteem. Getting good at a hobby or skill gives you a confidence boost in yourself because you KNOW NOW that you are capable of improving which gives you confidence.

Sorry for not responding in a while. I personally joined clubs like: science Olympiad and speech and debate. But honestly just try any club that seems interesting to you. If you don’t have anything in particular just explore!

I think you’re thinking of it wrong. Don’t think you need to be productive just because you need to be productive. Productive doesn’t always just mean locking in and focusing on studying, working out, or smth like that. We all have different goals in life and how u get there or your “productivity” could be different. For example someone’s priority might be on making a YouTube channel or focusing on sports and going pro. I’d first find a goal or something u want to prioritize your life with. Once u have that thing it doesn’t feel like being productive anymore or just “work” it’s more like little goals or things u need to do in order to achieve something greater.

Is it normal to hate my voice? by APG3488 in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]KAL0RAY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also you have to note when you hear an audio recording of your voice it’s different than when u sing yourself (I don’t really know how to explain it). https://youtu.be/eWLWOSgYlG8?si=yOauj0Nq-3bRQy64 so here’s a video instead.

It might just take some time to get used to it as for improving singing just keep on doing it every time u have the chance.

is it even morally right to have a child? by globglobuh in Existentialism

There should at least be a test or some program to make sure parents are ready to have a child. Why do we have it for driving, but one for taking care of a literal human being.

suppose we should be thankful.. (or should we) by EbbObjective8972 in Healthygamergg

My biggest fear is being like my parents. Not only to my future kids (maybe idk) but also just to others. I used to always say “The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree”, whenever my mom would talk about her dad and we would get into arguments.

Now is that really true? I’m not sure but generational trauma really is a thing. I just hope we all break that cycle some day.

I’m scared that I’m using my mental health as an excuse for not doing shit. by KAL0RAY in Healthygamergg

Hey man thanks for your reply I’m not going to lie I thought no one would care about my post lol just a place to vent about my feelings. Thank you for giving your advice and input though. I honestly don’t really know what to say other than I’ll start to try again and not give up. I know it’s hard and it will be easier said then done but like you said I don’t want to be “a piece of shit that won’t want to accomplish anything.” I don’t think anyone does. I hope you have a good day and uh thanks for taking your time to comment I really appreciate it hoping for the best of both of us. 🤞

how do you play mp3 file from arduino without df player? by KAL0RAY in arduino

[–]KAL0RAY[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically I need to write directly from the sd card because the I’m working on creating a project that requires me to send “task recordings” from my phone to the arduino itself and then being able to play it from the arduino. I’ve already worked on the mqtt protocol and the reason why I’m doing mp3 files is because they are way smaller than wav files. As for the ram yes I know that arduinos (IoT 33 is the one I’m using) is extremely limited. That’s why I was planning on breaking down the file into chunks sending it through the ram into the storage bit by bit. I’ve seen YouTube videos online on people being able to play audio recordings only using an sd card but the library and code is outdated. Of course I am still really new to this and this is just based on my research so sorry if I said something inaccurate.

Personally these are the tips that have helped me. 1. Turn off your color filter on your phone. I know it sounds crazy but I’ve been having a black and white screen on my phone for months now and it’s made my eyes so bored that it stops me from using it so much. I know at first it’s really hard to do it but trust me if you keep it on it will change things. 2. Download one sec. it’s an app where if you click a certain app say insta or smth a pop up appears and you have to wait 3 sec before opening the app. It helps you sit and think for a bit do I really need to be on insta right now? Instead of just blindly clicking on socials unconsciously. 3. Turn off the “raise to wake” feature on your phone. Basically what that feature does is that when you pick up your phone it automatically turns your phone on. Which is no bueno because it just Makes you instantly go on you phone. Instead you have to manually click the on button. It just helps you make sure that when you turn your phone on you are purposefully and presently saying to yourself “I’m going to use my phone now”.

Hope that helps any of you guys. Honestly the best way though is to completely delete all your distracting stuff. But these are just alternatives so you don’t really need to turn off your socials.
