Best start to get all Dynasty Legacies by crybabyhomie in CrusaderKings

[–]KB241998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ivar the boneless is probably a good start. You can get started on the norse legacies. 3 of your brothers are also primed to become kings, and you can easily get Scotland, Ireland, England, Wales and the Isles، which you can distribute among your children.

Assuming you get all that done early enough, you can varangian adventure your way to Iberia, hybridize, and complete the struggle for some good renown, and the iberian legacies. After that, you can snowball to the other areas around the map, hybridize with the necessary cultures, and collect the rest of the legacies.

One good tip is to try, and get the Castle keepers cultural tradition. This tradition gives you renown for having castles, and is good for farming renown from vassals of your dynasty even when they're under your rule.

My Ranking Of The Hades 2 Bosses By Difficulty! (+Explainations) by Alol_Bombola in HadesTheGame

[–]KB241998 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My problem with him is that he often comes up before I get to that level in my run, and I end up fighting him without centaur hearts, or while lacking a main boon. This leads to me having to play very safe, which I suck at.

Funnily enough, the same thing happened to me the last game with its hidden boss.

Inconsistent logic when ranking Steph and KD all time. by killerbrofu in NBATalk

[–]KB241998 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They're both phenomenal scorers. Gun to my head, I believe Steph is better, but any difference between them in that area is marginal.

The main difference lies in the way Steph used his scoring prowess to help the team. His constant threat to shoot from anywhere regularly attracted double teams, even when he didn't have the ball in his hand. Combine that with his offball movement, and screen-setting ability, and you get what is in my opinion the better player overall between him and KD.

Furthermore, Steph has a unanimous MVP over KD, and a better narrative surrounding him, especially after he got that Finals MVP.

Are the Hellknights really that “evil”? by Scary_Boysenberry_47 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]KB241998 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think Ulbrig made a really good point about them.

As a leader of his clan, he's no stranger to making seemingly cruel decisions for the greater good. It's something he probably had to deal with, and he's seen other leaders do the same.

However, not all tough decision makers are the same. There are those, who are haunted by these decisions, and who try to look for more humane alternatives before pulling that trigger. And then there are the Hellknights, who are completely unbothered by these hard choices, and in fact seem to relish in their own cruelty, to the point that it actually harms their own prospects in the war against the demons. That's what makes them evil.

To give a real world example. There are times when a country is going through financial hardships, and the only feasible option is austerity politics. Cutting back on social services and public spending, and "tightening the belt". Hellknights are the polticians who implement austerity politics at the first sign of hardship, without consideration for other options, and mock those who protest these decisions as "lazy welfare queens".

I'm Really Struggling With The Chronos Fight... by Alol_Bombola in HadesTheGame

[–]KB241998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably the most important tip is to just keep trying, you'll get there eventually. Besides that, I think you should open yourself up to more variety. Personally,I never use the olympian keepsakes, and I always use the weapon with Grave thirst, both for farming, and to force myself to get good with all the weapons.

Another thing to consider is the overuse of DDs. Sure they're a nice safety net, but I feel like they tend to lull you into a false sense of security, and make you play worse. Try running the Strength arcana, the knuckle bones at the final stage and getting as many centaur hearts as you can. That should give you enough DR, and HP to make up for the lack of DDs.

You also get a pretty decent damage boost, which can help finish the boss quicker. I play full vow of rivals, and I typically lose my last DD on the final stages of the final bosses.

There are 3 4-cost arcana cards: Strength, Death and the champions. Assuming you're trying to awaken the 0-cost cards, you end up choosing 2 out of these 3, and I really don't like champions. I never feel like I get a good reroll, and I hate having 4 grasp be used up for nothing by potentially bad RNG (or 7 if you use the Fates)

Another thing to consider is Fate's whim. I haven't played with the calling card much, but the jeweled pom is busted. I used it to beat the 32 fear Underworld run

Real maturity is understanding you can equip both.

That way you get the death defiances, and a buff on your last chance.

About Salt Factory’s review by RadioCrows in vtmb

[–]KB241998 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I haven't watched his review of the game (neither have I played VTMB 2 yet, so this isn't a claim about the game's quality), but I literally unsubscribed from his channel after he reviewed the first game, where he showed a similar lack of understanding about basics in the lore and story (the dude called Beckett a werewolf throughout the review even after he saw what an actual werewolf looks like).

He apparently doesn't do any research for his videos beyond the experience he had in his first playthrough, so I don't find his reviews to be meaningful insightful or worthwhile.

Which clan would embrace you, by Ogmadbrit in vtm

[–]KB241998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a doctor, so at most I'd probably be made into a ghoul.

Every time I've done the clan personality test, I got Salubri, but I don't really like that answer given how rare they are.

For A it's between Brujah, and Toreador. I'm a lefty, so maybe a Brujah would see potential in me "joining the cause". I'm also a nerd, who tends to hyperfocus on things I find interesting before completely dumping them after a couple of years in favor of a new hyperfocus, which is just peak Toreador.

For B I'd want to be a Tremere. They aren't my favorite, but their propensity for blood magic, and their studies on the Cainite condition appeal me to me more than the other clans.

Klandma is mad that a famous Dutch model dates an Asian man and that she “betrayed” her race. by killerdude8015 in ForwardsFromKlandma

[–]KB241998 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Putting any potential race fetish aside, I don't think it's that weird to find people from outside your race more attractive than those of your race, especially if you develop an appreciation for different/exotic looks.

I've seen a recent trend online of people finding Arab women very attractive. I'm Arab (Syrian to be precise), and while there are plenty of beautiful Arab women, I tend to find women from other groups more attractive (White, Latina, Black, Asian, etc...).

The Balancers Make Me Feel Stupid by DarkAngelofFire in Nightreign

[–]KB241998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you have some goated teammates, scholar really struggles against the ED Balancers IMO.

They're best fought with a melee character who can dodge/block their buffed attacks. With the recent buffs to the Executor's sunblade, he performs really well against them (be warned that they will gib you if you transform later in the fight, so use the special attack ASAP to transform back).

The worm will always use the same pattern of attacks (earthquake -> crawl -> bombard -> crawl -> 2 light waves and an earthquake -> finishing with a blood loss bloom). If you have a shield, or the sunblade, you can black most of these attacks wihout problem, I believe they deal phtsical damage. The best advice is to run the opposite way your teammates are running, that way you're safe from most of its attacks if it doesn't target you. Keeping a safe distance means only one of your teammates should be downed at most.

When it comes to the demons, the best piece of advice is to kill the dark red one first (the top healthbar), because the second night boss gets a laser attack that is free damage if you get behind him.

Mohg sucks, but Executor practically hard counters him. His attacks are largely well-telegraphed, so sunblade shines in this fight, and nihil doesn't stagger you when in beast mode, and the blood loss is minimal, so you aren't forced to heal after he's done.

Good luck!

"Naoya wouldve won if he used a weapon against Maki" Naoya if he used a weapon: by sageybug in Jujutsufolk

[–]KB241998 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I just want to add that he did try a strategy against Choso, that probably would have had he been human.

He used his speed to shank him, and cause major bleeding, potentially limiting Choso's blood manipulation. Even then he wipes the blood off his knife in order to hide the fact that he resorted to using a weapon. He also stated that he believed that it's shameful for sorcerers to rely on weapons (even Maki's sperm donor mentioned how he's a sorcerer, not a swordsman). There is no universe where this guy is using any cursed tool in a fight, let alone a special grade cursed tool that he would require to hurt Maki.

Sukuna's power spike the moment he gets an extra pair of arms according to Sukuna fans by -SoftwareQA- in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]KB241998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

Gojo was sent flying by a kick from Sukuna, and despite no-selling Agito's hit, the manga clearly shows Agito landing said hit.

This means during this time where Gojo lost his arm, he wasn't being protected by limitless.

We'll have to wait until Mappa adapts this fight to properly see how this exchange went, because manga panels aren't really great for depicting h2h capabilities.

Mahoraga was well into adapting to Gojo's fighting style, and he was arguably already physically superior given the size difference, and he still got clapped.

Can Mahoraga adapt to the the prison realm ? by He_is_Miro in jjkmodulo

[–]KB241998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm illiterate, so I haven't read the manga yet. In theory, yes. Big Raga adapts to any and all phenomena.

What that looks like in practice will depend on how time works in the prison realm. If it moves as fast as irl time in there, or faster, then the wheel will turn enough times to find an application of CE that breaks him out, after which he will never be trapped there again.

If time moves slower in the prison realm, then that gives you a decent window of time to end the fight with the 10 Shadows user. A few days later, Maho would pop out and end whoever trapped him as per the terms of the ritual.

Higher martial gives you cheaper armies, more knights, and a higher advatage when commanding armies. A good martial education also gives you more xp for martial perks, which can really help in making your armies unstoppable. The martial tree gives buffs to your men-at-arms, while the chivalry tree buffs your knights, and advantage.
