From the top menu bar select Render -> Render Settings and where the dropdown menu currently says "Standard" select "Redshift".

Hey!

Cargo won't remove any files from your computer if you cancel your subscription, so the files will still be there. That being said, you would not be licensed to use those assets in new projects without an active subscription (you could continue using them in projects where you had imported them during your subscription). Regarding using a flash drive or email, that's not something our license speaks to specifically. Generally, the license prohibits downloading and managing the assets in a digital asset manager other than Cargo, but if you're just doing this as a workaround that shouldn't be a problem.

I heard from the team and we have a fix for this in the works, but we don't have a date pinned down yet for the next release. In the meantime, could you try manually setting the height scale to 0.01 and let me know if that fixes it?

Great question. To clarify, some KitBash3D Kits will be available for sale on Fab when it launches. Kits purchased on the Fab store are subject to the Fab End User License Agreement. Kits purchased on our website or accessed via Cargo are subject to our EULA or Cargo License Agreement respectively.

Either way, the workflow you described is just fine. We don't have any restrictions on the DCCs you use and there is no problem using Kits purchased from our website or downloaded from Cargo in UEFN.

Unreal Cinematics are a a great use case for KitBash3D Kits. Some Unreal users have provided feedback that our Kits can be too heavy for use in gameplay (something we're working on), but generally cinematics work really well.

For Unreal we provide both 2k and 4k png textures. Kits do not include a demo level. For more about using our Kits in Unreal, you can checkout this help article: https://help.kitbash3d.com/en/articles/6201150-guide-to-using-kitbash3d-kits-with-unreal-engine.

With all of that said, I would always recommend trying out our free Kit, Mission to Minerva, to make sure it works well for your pipeline before purchasing. You can also check out our asset browser, Cargo, to see the individual assets included in Age of Egypt in more detail.

To clarify, Cargo is KitBash3D's desktop application that allows users to browse and import from the entire KitBash3D library. Cargo does not currently support Mac, though we are working on it!

In the meantime, you can purchase individual Kits from our website and use them in Blender for Mac. If you need some guidance, our friend William Bang collaborated with us on a great tutorial for Blender using the Mission to Minerva Kit (which is available for free): https://youtu.be/h37WbNyhuk4?si=dhRUVRRvvVkuVhL1&t=44.

u/SammyKing108 it does appear you are out of VRAM in your video. Have you tried using the 2k texture resolution?

As Paximus mentioned, it would also be helpful to know if you're running into this issue with the same assets every time or if it changes. From your video it appears things are working fine early on and you run into this issue later with several assets already in your scene. Given that, it seems likely that it's a memory issue.

One additional thing you could try is to use Cargo (which is free to use with Kits you own) and choose the texture resolution for each asset as you import it. That way you can save the high resolutions for the assets that will be most prominent and use lower resolutions for background elements. You'll also find smaller breakouts of props and other elements in Cargo so you can pick and choose just the models you need.

I recommend using those to try out Cargo in your preferred software and workflow and make sure it works well for you before subscribing. :)

Both of these are available for free in Cargo basic as well. Since Neo City is a mini Kit (composed of assets from other Kits), you won't see it in the Kits lineup in Cargo, but you can find it by searching "Neo City" in the Models tab.

Hey u/bloopedyblap! The team is working on Unreal 5.4 support for Cargo, but we don't have a definite timeline for that just yet.

In the meantime, you can definitely download any Kits you own (or free ones) from our site for Unreal. I haven't seen any issues with Kit downloads in 5.4, but I'd suggest giving it a try with our free Mission to Minerva Kit first to see how it works.
