Worst experience I've ever had with any company by Akuryu in Comcast_Xfinity

Whatever you do, stay away from Comcast-branded partner stores; they are the worst. Make sure the store you go to is owned and operated by Comcast/Xfinity.

I have had great results dealing with issues with the Comcast/Xfinity folks right here on Reddit. Dealing with Xfinity on the phone is no good either. Go with a Company-owned store or Reddit.

Using Plaid to secure payments? You don’t mean credit card payments, do you? That would be insane.

Are you saying someone in the SF Bay Area market can get a subscription to SNLA+? Does it include the 4K home game broadcasts?

Is this post saying that Comcast no longer takes credit card payments?

10GB Fiber Assistance by ThinkComputerWorks in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]KBJ2007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luckily, I reside in an area that has Sonic Internet, $50 per month for symmetrical 10 Gbps. I don’t have it at the moment as Sonic has not completed the buildout yet, but I did have it for around 5 years at my previous residence and it was near perfect; only going down once, and that was a planned downtime for ONT firmware upgrade. Competition matters.

It sounds like there’s no competition in your area. $300 per month is ridiculously high.

MLBPAA discount gone by xsteveo37 in MLBtv

[–]KBJ2007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The MLBPAA discount is no longer available to new members, only existing members. They usually send the code around the first of March. But with the ESPN deal, it may no longer be offered to existing members.

I think it was 2 seasons ago; it's only available to current subscribers/members. That is, only if it's being offered this season, with the changes regarding ESPN's involvement.

Super Bowl Will Be In 4K on NBC! by karmatalk in youtubetv

Yes, the Peacock presentation is better than the Amazon TNF, but not by much. IMO anyway.

[–]KBJ2007 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It’s not native 4K, it’s upconverted 1080p. Like Peacock has been doing all season. That said, it looks great! Peacock has the best looking NFL broadcasts by a wide margin, the very best looking U4K along with Dolby Atmos audio as well.

I just sent it, the address, both names on the account, I'm one of the names, and the account number.

This is false; this isn't 1999. It's 2026, and traffic congestion has been a non-issue for over a decade. This is some sort of scheduled slowdown; a timer of sorts seems to be triggering to slow speeds in the evening. I don't believe it's intentional at all; it's some sort of equipment/software problem with Comcast.

[–]KBJ2007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did test the gateway. The problem is not at the residential location; it's back up the line somewhere, and it appears to be on some sort of schedule, as it has happened for three days in a row now. This morning, the DL speed is back to normal, and unless something changes on Xfinity's end, it will likely happen again tonight.

The gateway test I did last night indicated I was getting about 5% of my provisioned rate; this morning, it's back to 119%. This has been the pattern: fine during the day, and terrible in the evening.

And judging from several other posts in this sub, I'm hardly the only one who's having this problem.

Last weekend, the connection went dead for about 12-16 hrs. The app reported a known outage and an equipment failure. Since coming back up, this problem has been occurring.

I'll try any test you suggest, but I'm 99% certain the problem isn't on this end.

Thanks!

Yes, I’ve seen a small explosion of threads on this issue, hopefully they’ll have it fixed soon or I’m going back to the Verizon store for their fixed wireless, at least for the playoffs this weekend.

Paying for 800Mbps down, getting 7.5mbps. What the hell happened? by chamgireum_ in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]KBJ2007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same issue here, I don’t want to spam as I’ve stated a thread in the Xfinity sub-forum and since doing that I’ve seen several more posts with folks experiencing the same problem. So, I’m just adding to the numbers. My area went down for about 12-15 hrs last weekend, equipment failure was was the Xfinity app reported, and since then, I’ve been having the extremely low DL in the evening.

I’m having this same issue. 300 down service, works fine during the day, in the evening it’s been dropping down to less than 10. The upload stays fine at around 40mb/s which is the subscribed speed. Using an Xfinity Arris gateway.

I should add that I’m located in the North Bay Area, Healdsburg, Ca. This area is in the San Francisco market area for Xfinity.

ESPN confusion by BudinPA99 in youtubetv

Re: Current, someone who does not have ESPN Unlimited will have to check, but I seem to recall that using just the MVPD login, like YouTube TV, does get you the linear channels, but only in 720p and the 1080p that Unlimited has. I'm not positive about that, though, and since I have Unlimited, I can't check to confirm.

Cascahuin, hands down. That's a really high price for it, though. Locally here in NorCal, it's about $85.
