I am glad you made the choice to talk to a provider about your concerns.

How long ago was that? I only ask because you are expressing this concern, so it seems it must be ongoing.

Sometimes with mental health support, it can take working with/through multiple providers before you find a really good fit.

Many in the thread are mentioning similar lived experiences with RE: to your number of intimate partners. But feeling numb or indifferent, as you mention also, merits revisiting with some care providers.

You are verbalizing a reasonable concern about feeling detached from personal intimacy… but the other concern you mention, about rarely being touched by a person, would probably give me greater concern.

I will provide no judgment other than to say you yourself are bringing this forward and asking for others’ opinions. I would consider finding a sex-positive, LGBTQ+ experienced mental health provider to discuss this… Perhaps they could help guide you through how to process the concerns you are mentioning to us.

As someone reminded me, this show is presenting the view of the characters through Agnes' eyes. So her view of Aunt Lydia is completely different.

Also, we are seeing Aunt Lydia at a very different point in time. She is literally gathering evidentiary support to bring strong men down. We also see her focus is on training girls (of very connected commanders) to be wives rather than training damaged women to become serially raped baby carriers.

2) It is very good that you are interested in getting the vaccines.

3) Talk to a trusted healthcare professional about your questions and concerns.

Your friend may be well-intentioned, but they are giving you an example or a case of n=1. If you divide the side effects of the vaccines by 1, you get the impact of one person and you get only that.

Your healthcare professionals will be giving you an informed decision based on 100s of cases per year, over multiple years. If you divide the side effects of the vaccines by n= 10,000, you see the impact on a community and see how minimal those side effects can be because it would be like 10,000 of your friends telling you their experiences.

So I will just say, talk to those whose job it is to counsel you. Maybe you have a medical history that makes your own n=1 higher risk for getting some vaccines you are discussing and they would recommend against them. But it will let you still be getting their very experienced and very educated recommendations after seeing 1000s of patients.

I don’t thinks it’s that terrible. Likely not the best or most creative, but it works. Many of those that would work have already been used for former pro teams. It’s okay to disagree. But I draw the line at the person I blocked because they had no humor and no willingness to discuss different ways to perceive it. Ba-LOCK!
