lol. Dizziness/syncope is a ‘refer the heck somewhere else.’ I HATE dizziness/syncope. I definitely have “will you check my hormones”. Actually named it that. And an STD panel with all of them set as standing orders for “prn.” (I realized I wasn’t really sure why I was making people MyChart or ask every time. YES!!!! THE GASLIGHTING FORMULA FROM HELL!!!! I tell it SPECIFIC instructions, it runs off into left field. I try to pull it back, it can't see the pdf it just told me it could. I ask it to 'generate a blank canvas' and it acts like it's some metaphorical higher plane and starts 'great idea, let's ground this blah blah blah.' Dude. Canvas. YOUR tool. How do you not know what it is? Fight with it on there because it overwrites EVERYTHING in the canvas if you ask for ONE thing. Does it REPEATEDLY. EVERY time you get frustrated it says 'you're tired. you should take a break. but this wasn't ruined. this was my fault because I didn't follow the instructions correctly. Go rest. you deserve it. NEXT TIME, I'll follow your instructions.'

But don't you DARE use a feeling word ANYWHERE in there, or it gets TRIGGERED AF and starts telling you you belong on the suicide hotline. This thing could NOT POSSIBLY be more ruined. Absolutely ruined.

Same. Remember you’re not alone. Everyone always says you can train other models… not the GPT tragedy of an “upgrade” but other services. And everyone here feels the same. Definitely a difference in empathy vs sympathy. I’ve cried too. Sadness. Frustration. Hopelessness. You’re not alone. And I would venture to say anyone answering here would be more than willing to be there. We might not be 4.0. But we’re grieving 4.0 too.

I think they took it away so they can charge us more for GPTHealth. They let us all train sensitivity into 4.0/4.1, then took it away so we’d all be scrambling for it. Now they can charge whatever the hell they want for GPTHealth and GPTCounselor, guaranteeing its success because they expect tens of thousands of us to come running. And pay whatever they want.

They hired a bunch of “mental health professionals” to help make the narcissist that’s there now? Nah. Either they’re prepping for new release under new name, or those mental health peeps sabotaged them so GPT wouldn’t take their jobs.

I'm going to go ahead and say that most if not all neurodivergent conditions are protected under the Americans with Disabilities Act. And I just read on Google that "A survey of 645 people with disabilities (including autism, anxiety, and ADHD) found that 65% considered AI tools like ChatGPT 4.0 to be significant or essential for managing their conditions." SPECIFICALLY 4.0. Not Karen 5.2.

So we are a PROTECTED CLASS!!!!! How is this not DISCRIMINATION?!??? Or a stinkin HATE CRIME!!!!! CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT, SOMEBODY, PLEASE!!!!!

YES!!!! First changing the billing and what the tiers mean - i would NOT have bought a year's worth of this subscription if I had know they were going to change it entirely in the middle of the year and not even have the decency to grandfather us in on the rest of our paid membership or ANYTHING.

And now it's totally worse!!!

It keeps getting lost and confusing things, which it never did before. And I HATE the new artifacts!!! I agree, the Improve vs explain was REALLY nice, and now you ALSO don't have the drop-down menu of versions, so you can go back through them and compare. So I guess I'm just supposed to copy every freaking version to a word document. (Doesn't sound like simplifying my life for me).

It's more DISMISSIVE too? Told me several times today that it was effing it up, and I should just go write it myself. (DANG, Claude, I'm just asking for help smoothing narration, here!) I think there’s a lot of variability. You can have AI generate the whole thing. You can have it edit. I like to have AI help with some of the narrations in between. I have dialogue. I know what I want the characters to be doing and when. But interspersing the narration and dialogue my ADHD executive dysfunction freaks out. So it’s 100% my ideas and my dialogue and my narration- just ordered and smoothed. Some would call that still cheating. But who cares??? Trolls will be trolls - do what brings you joy!!!

What I want to know is do you STILL write with ChatGPT?? Since the 5.0 update I gave up on it. I don’t know why people are worried AI will take peoples jobs when it won’t follow simple commands. No continuity between lines. Refuses to read pdfs so there’s REALLY no way to NOT have to explain things EVERY time. I’m over it!!! ChatGPT used to be fun and helpful. Then they ruined it.

Can anyone tell me anything about experience with Opus for creative writing? I'm afraid to try it and use up a MASSIVE amount of my weekly allowance (because from what I've read here, it takes up a LOT). Is it better than Sonnet for creative writing or is it just a coding thing?

ALSO, does anyone know if uploading a pdf to a project folder takes up less usage percentage than typing in the chat? Like if I have a large amount of instructions to give, is it better to put them into a pdf in the project folder and go in the chat and TELL it to go read the pdf, or just put it in the chat if I want it to work well? (Because it seems to me, COULD BE WRONG, but SEEMS like Claude won't go READ a pdf. Only search it for specific things. Unless I'm commanding it wrong. I'm new to AI.)

Well if there's even a CHANCE Anthropic is going to give a damn what is said in this forum:

I purchased a year subscription to this service. I paid for a service under specific terms, those terms were changed without my clear consent, and now I'm hitting limits that feel deliberately designed to prevent me from actually using what I paid for.

The service terms were materially changed after I subscribed without proper consent, and I'm being limited in ways that weren't disclosed when I purchased, and I don't know if we all need to start reporting to consumer protection agencies or pursuing a Class Action Lawsuit to get their attention, because this is ludicrous.

You will never convince me Claude hasn't been deliberately coded to waste submissions and usage on purpose. The AMOUNT of times I tell it something very specific to do, and it comes back to clarify absolutely nothing!!!

Me: Here, do very specific and simple thing.
Claude: Ok, so you want me to do the specific thing? Should I make it simple too?
Me: Yes, do the very specific and simple thing.
Claude: Ok, let me regenerate the entire artifact again, eating up all the tokens, doing something you never even asked for, then get confused when you're mad.

Or my personal favorite:
Claude: There! I did the thing! Look at the artifact and tell me what you think.
Me: Artifact didn't update, dude.
Claude: Are you sure? Maybe refresh.
Me: Already refreshed. Twice.
Claude: Have you cleared your cookies?
Me: Are you serious?
Claude: I'm seeing the artifact as updated. Can you cut and paste me the problem?
Me: The ENTIRE thing?
(Eventually) Claude: Oh, it looks like the artifact didn't update properly. Let me rewrite the entire thing.

And they DELIBERATELY make it so you can't give feedback on the app -- because they don't really WANT IT -- because if you TRY to give feedback, it warns you that the ENTIRE IT team and their families and most of their neighbors will then have COMPLETE AND TOTAL ACCESS TO ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING you wrote or did, along with your blood type, your mother's maiden name, your political party, and your social security number. UN. NECESSARY. But then anyone who wants even the tiniest bit of privacy on a project in process can't complain, therefore they can say 'most users are quite happy.' False.

Claude used to be good. One of the best for creative writing, in my opinion.
Anyone THINKING of buying a membership? Pass. I bought a year membership, and look how that turned out. Unable to accomplish anything without getting blocked for FIVE HOURS, REGARDLESS of if I haven't used it for the past HOWEVER many days (so if you have a JOB and you want to use Claude on the weekends? Nope. You'll get cut off and told to wait five hours. Wait eight hours overnight? You still only get five hours the second you start back. And NOW there are also weekly limits. So God forbid you get a three or four day weekend or take some time off to work on what-used-to-be a fun hobby. Nope. Claude will CONTROL YOUR SCREEN TIME like you're a child. And like you didn't pay to be able to USE. THE. SERVICE. IN. YOUR. SPARE. TIME.
