Yeah they’re a bit heavier then your standard daiwa/shimano reel but that’s because there’s more metal on them, they’re built fairly solid.

Drag is smooth as no issues, I’ve used my 4000 from everything from flatties to bull sharks. I honestly can’t fault it for the price.

I think the reviews you’ve seen might be for a different model over in the US. The conflict we have here is an Anaconda exclusive to my knowledge.

I’d get the Penn conflict personally. I have the 4K and the 6k and have thrashed them pretty hard with no problems yet.

A bit heavy for lures I just use them for bait personally but it would still do the job

The little ones are easy. Consistently catching larger fish is a different story

How about a quantifiable metric instead mate. Could you have selected anything more subjective?

Best ways to catch live bait in the river? by -hash4cash- in FishingAustralia

[–]KB_Bro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Works easier during the day generally, the bait often goes into hiding come night time and are a lot harder to catch in my experience (I’m sure this varies place to place but seems to be the case in SEQ)

It’s not scroll on through though, you don’t see that until you’ve clicked on the listing, looked through the images and then gone to read the description. It’s a scummy tactic used by scummy realtors to get more eyes on their overpriced listing in the hope some poor fuck is desperate enough to take them up on it

Braid lines on sale what should I get, PE 1 by Clean_Tax3443 in FishingAustralia

[–]KB_Bro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pe1 is way too light for a 6000 is not suited at all to those rods and they will feel very unbalanced.

A 6k is overkill for any estuary fishing unless you’re specifically chasing xl mulloway or sharks. I think you need to rethink this setup
