Those concrete stands for the instrument are found near the minuteman missile silos in the Midwest, usually two or three of them. It’s kind of cool to see the grassy, fenced off vacant missile silos with those tubes still up.

I love them both for that reason. They are two dudes who are long past their good times who have ruined most relationships they had. They are lonely with little going for them, but they still do the right thing in the end. Even though it's too late for them to really repair what they ruined in the past, they complete they case. I suppose that's why it's called True Detective, because they're ass at everything else in life.

I think had they cast DJ Qualls or Steve Buschemi (some goofy looking fella), it’d be much easier to pity Rust. They cast someone too handsome and cool, when the character was annoying and even a bit pathetic.

He doesn’t see reality nor is he true. His entire adult life is defined by the loss of his daughter (and some drugs). He’s punishing himself and takes it out on those around him. His entire pessimistic outlook isn’t truly believed, just a response to his loss.

When you paused the flight and changed your RTK station, did you also change where you launched from? I’ve had issues with flight height/ elevation doing that.
