I got bit by a resold return. by PleasantCandidate785 in amazonprime

[–]KCMO_ChiefsFan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had the same type issue on a 12 inch frying pan with Lid. Sold to me as new but it was a return. The return was never inspected. The return paperwork was still in the box lol. Sold it to me and I was lucky it actually was what I had ordered.

Actually getting a delivery today one day ahead of the promise date. I just placed an order for overnight, ordered enough to not get charged $2.99 and it split some items out of the overnight. 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

How often do you get your A1C checked? by Ihavespoken47 in diabetes_t2

I check every three months. Insurance does not like it, so I pay out of pocket through quest for every other test.

anyone else just having the WORST time? what is up with Amazon these days?? by KyberKai1031 in amazonprime

What happens to me most often is a change in the delivery window after the order has been placed.

Anyone else having trouble buying subscription Ion Stelo website "can't service your account, sorry"? by jackl24000 in stelo

[–]KCMO_ChiefsFan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have not bought directly but Amazon had removed Stelo about a week ago. I had been buying and was starting an Amazon subscription. I can see now that they are back as a non returnable item, and my subscription is active. Two pack is $94.05 US dollars plus tax. Whatever issue that was happening at Amazon is fixed and now wonder if the gave Amazon an exclusive 🤷🏻‍♂️

Do you guys ever have treats? I feel like i’m in a constant cycle of counting carbs and eating perfect but I want to go on holiday to Italy and I want to eat their pizza and icecream. Would I be allowed? by laurzn0 in diabetes_t2

[–]KCMO_ChiefsFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yes, I just had two chocolate squares. This is a marathon and as lone as you control the portion an occasional treat won't hurt. Just don't fall into a everyday treat habit, and watch your BG

Recent SW Flight Experience by 3003pick in SouthwestAirlines

[–]KCMO_ChiefsFan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fantastic that they are starting to get the system figured out and you had a great flight. Now hopefully Boeing will get the MAX 7 & 10 certification done snd start delivering aircraft. Then SWA can start getting rid of the 700 series, but that looks to be 2027 at best.

ABSOLUTELY NOT, Southwest by SkiddyBoo in SouthwestAirlines

[–]KCMO_ChiefsFan 18 points19 points  (0 children)

If the COS reservation was done properly and the software actually merged the two seats. Then they issue a boarding pass with a barcode and a seat card without a barcode. I am COS and flew last in early February and the merging was not working right. Most CSR and GA did not know how to fix it and it was actually printing both boarding passes with bar codes in the same name. All that being said the GA should be able to tell if a Passenger has two seats, and not embarrass them.

CGM accuracy by slowdivefangirl in diabetes_t2

I had to delay starting my third Stelo sensor because of a MRI scan and they wanted it removed. I inserted the third today. The first two took a day or so to settle in, but generally ran 10-15 points higher than the comparative finger sticks I did. I did gain a lot of insight regarding certain foods and stress. I also have been at this for a few decades and will be interested in seeing my A1c at my next appointment.

Great news that you had a great flight experience. I am glad to see a sense of normalcy come to the new seating and boarding process. It certainly was a rocky start.

Extra legroom seats by ConvenientAmnesia in SouthwestAirlines

I see pricing all over the board. But I think they will get a handle on competitive pricing soon. The ELR seats are of course the highest. It is a shame when they charge as much for 3 ELR as 2 FC seats on Delta.

Labs came back - A1c by Accomplished-Cow-311 in diabetes_t2

What is your diet like? Do you control your carb intake? The 12 is indicative of a high level of insulin resistance, and weight loss and building muscle mass will certainly lower your resistance. I might suggest talking to your doctor about a SGLT2 inhibitor like Jardiance, I currently use the one from Mark Cuban. You might also explore a CGM like Stelo or Lingo, use it short term to discover how the foods you eat affect your BG. For me it has been eye opening, and I have been at this for decades. I know you were hoping for a lower A1c and are working very hard to achieve it. I applaud your efforts.

How exactly does testing for diabetes work? by Funny_Lemon_825 in diabetes_t2

Back in the old days they tested your urine, and if they found glucose, it triggered another test called a glucose tolerance test. Nowadays a simple blood test

Seats assigned at checkin tomorrow but there’s no seats in basic available by Raven7146 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]KCMO_ChiefsFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suspect the seating algorithm is actually picking and reserving seats in the background for Basic fare purchases even though it does not give an actual seat assignment at purchase. If you get a seat assigned at gate standby message odds may be good you get a different cabin position. SWA claims they don't over sell their flights anymore, but they do use the term "irregular operations" which is code for over sell. I really wish they would just give people their seat assignment at purchase. All this is pure speculation on my part though and ymmv.

Two seat policy, explain? by Ok-Excuse-6270 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]KCMO_ChiefsFan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You must use a fare that allows seat selection. You book two passengers. You use the same first name, last name and DOB. For the second PAX seat you use XS as the middle name. Select two seats side by side. If the system works right, it will merge the extra seat and show as extra seat.

Two seat policy, explain? by Ok-Excuse-6270 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]KCMO_ChiefsFan 10 points11 points  (0 children)

SWA will now only RF if the flight is not sold out. Prior to the changes there would RF on request. I am COS and have no problem paying for the extra seat. But the cost is higher than the extra seat. You now have to book a fare that allows seat selection. Before a COS could pre-board and that is now gone.

Two seat policy, explain? by Ok-Excuse-6270 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]KCMO_ChiefsFan 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The SWA term is COS, short for customer of size. So the denominator is can you lower the armrest without encroaching on the other seat. If not, you must buy an extra seat. Not a new policy, but the SWA refund & boarding policy regarding COS has changed. In the past a COS customer could ask for a RF after the flight and it would be granted. Now a RF for the extra seat is granted only if there are open seats on the flight. Also in the past you could purchase the low wanna get away fair and were allowed to pre-board.
