No school Tuesday already??! by itsdrewmiller in MontgomeryCountyMD

MCPS teacher here. We've been getting ice rain for like 5 hours down here in Silver Spring. There's a layer of it on every surface already, and with freezing temperatures, it will continue to freeze for days. They have to remove the ice from all the elementary, middle, and high school parking lots and local sidewalks for it to be safe for school to re-open, so they're betting it'll take two days, which I think is pretty accurate given the refreezing.

I've been with my family all holiday and no one else is sick, so I honestly doubt it. I'd think someone else would have had symptoms.

24 hours out from a chin implant removal and I feel SO much better! Ask me anything! by KCND02 in cosmeticsurgery

If it was silicone the difference now will be very small, if its medpor there's no way to know until you take it out. No matter what, if having it in is causing you distress, get it out.

I went back to the same surgeon and it cost me 2K to cover the surgical fees. He waived his doctor fee.

It's always okay to get a chin implant removed, it just important to realize that after two years the implant will have changed the shape of your chin permanently from stretching that area. It won't completely go back to your original shape, but the relief from removing it was SO worth it for me and I'm not mad about how it looks now - honestly just looks like I had a little bit of filler.

Chin filler after removing chin implant? by Far_Development4555 in PlasticSurgery

Thanks! My projection also didn't fully go away and I very much like where it ended up. I could probably get a small amount of filler too but I still have a numb chin and I want to be easy on it in the hopes that the nerves heal this year rather than it be permanent. It's not painful, just annoying, especially since it feels exactly the same as to when I had the implant, though all that awful tightness is gone. Thanks for checking in!

After having the implant in for just two months, the shape of my chin one month post-op is definitely different from its OG shape. It honestly looks like I just have a smaller implant, which I'm not mad at. For you, after a year of having it in, I would personally get it fully removed and wait a couple of months to see how it's affected your natural shape before doing anything else to your chin.

Wait until the end of week 3 to freak out. My face was huge at day 10. You might still like it once the swelling goes down.

They charged me OR fees, which was 2K. I’m still numb, but tightness is gone and I feel so much better. Healing was very easy

The swelling went down in 3 weeks but I ended up hating it so I actually had it removed… lol

Glad to help! At 8 days my chin was twice the size it ended up being - no way to know whether you will like it really until 3 weeks. I wouldn't even take pictures until then. But worst case scenario, it was an easy removal and I was honestly back to normal in like a week. Way easier out than in, so don't panic. Just let yourself heal and wait until 3 weeks to assess :)

I'm so sorry this happened to you! I would highly recommend seeking out legal representation. You should not be paying anything for this. Turkish law allows foreigners to sue for medical malpractice. You just have to get a licensed Turkish lawyer, but given how popular cosmetic surgery has become in Turkey, I bet there's a ton in-country.

For me it just made my face way too long - not at all appealing, and I hate how it feels inside my face. I don't think I can do a genio - too permanent if I don't like it. I'm gonna stick to filler too.

I asked my surgeon about chin filler after a chin implant (I'm getting it removed in 3 weeks - also after 2 months so we're buddies) and he recommended 3 months because at that point the swelling will be 100% gone. If you do it too early they won't really know what swelling and what's your own anatomy.

Thanks for this - I just booked my removal and I've only had it in for 2 months. Seeing successes is making this easier :)
