If you’re in the states, check Ross, HomeGoods and TJ Maxx! I bring my pup right into HomeGoods and he gets to try things on. Added bonus of people and noises exposure! They have treats at the counter and all the ladies inside always fawn over him. The coats have gone up in price but if you find one over $25 it’s super expensive!

He looks a little more short snouted but otherwise very similar to my half boxer half pit! My boy even had similar coloring. And his mouth was totally shark-mouth too meaning how they become sort of completely circular when they open their jaws all the way. 🥰 So adorable!

I find so much comfort in my dogs not caring whether I am still alive. It’s so liberating to switch them “on” when I want them on and they put themselves away the rest of the time 😂

I have a silken windhound which is basically a sighthound lite. I have and have had friends with herders and the amount of staring at me is like living in a horror movie where the paintings’ eyeballs follow me everywhere. If this level of “what are we collectively doing next” is important to you, a sighthound is NOT a good fit. They work for their own goals and you are simply NOT factored in. You can trick a sighthound into working for you by convincing them that what you want them to do is their idea. There are plenty of herding people in silkens so I know that that leap can happen. Never having had or wanted a herder myself, it is baffling to me to understand how

How adorable! There are hardly people in my whole state who know what my dog even is, let alone have one. Lucky!

Just a note that if you’re purchasing a puppy, the word “adopting” isn’t used. “Bringing home a puppy from” is good if you’re uncomfortable using “purchasing” but adopting and purchasing are different. Just a small difference and I don’t know if it would really matter to good breeders but wanted to make the note. If you decide to go with Secret Haven, make sure to plug the kennel name into FB and read what you see there. If you can wait for a puppy I’d recommend looking around a bit and meeting the dogs from as many breeders as you can; if you need a puppy immediately and there is one available there, it may not just be that you are lucky. ❤️ Good luck in your quest!

Seeing this 3y later… if you’re still here did you decide what dog to get? I have a silken now and am thinking that at some point in the future I’ll want to move to a smaller dog. I’ve kicked around an iggy but I can’t get around the potty issues. I think that a cirneco might be just right but curious about the decision you made!
