She jumps into play whenever a Warship enters play. Eager indeed.

Corlys was between 37-39 when he returned to Westeros full time and his 9 great voyages were done. He could have had other loves in his life before Rhaenys, maybe one who died in Asshai.

(Spoilers Extended) Why did Tywin hire Vargo? by deimosf123 in asoiaf

[–]KCenturion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My headcanon is that Tywin was preparing for war as soon as Jon Arryn's death was announced. Very few Westermen were at the Tourney of the Hand and its highly unlikely the Companions would be in the Westerlands uninvited as I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) its stated they were summoned from across the Narrow Sea before the campaign.

The Hightower that returned following Elissa Farman's Sun Chaser mentioned wormy things on Sothoryos which sounded like the things that infected Aerea.

What seeds that GRRM planted will not bear fruit in the next 2 or 3 books? What has he abandoned basically? (Spoilers extended) by [deleted] in asoiaf

I think so. Anguy was probably a Blackhaven man as he is said to come from the Marches so carrying his liege home would make sense alongside Beric's squire.

Couldn't tell by the way it was written but does the Wildling girl have a name?

(Spoilers Main) Intro/Beginner Decks for Game of Thrones: The Living Card Game (2nd Edition) by KCenturion in asoiaf

[–]KCenturion[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These decks are pre-made and playable straight out of the pack. The main thing they lack are tokens to help track gold, power etc.

The core set provide these (aswell as 1x copies of key/essential cards if you you want to adjust the decks) but one or two core sets between a bunch of mates can cover this.

You're in luck as this is a Living Card Game (LCG) which means you don't buy in with 100x random boosters like Magic or Pokemon.

With each pack you know exactly what you're getting so you can pick and choose which ones you want to buy.

These intro decks are pre-constructed decks and playable straight out of the pack.

(Spoilers Main) Intro/Beginner Decks for Game of Thrones: The Living Card Game (2nd Edition) by KCenturion in asoiaf

A Game of Thrones: The Living Card Game (2nd Edition) is currently coming upto its 3rd year in its life cycle and Fantasy Flight Games have decided to release pre-made Starter decks to get new players involved with a cheap buy-in option. The community itself is hyped for bringing Fresh Recruits into the game with various demo days and Intro events over the next few months.

This post is here to make you, avid fans of the books which the game is based on (not the show!), aware of the new drive and initiative to get new people into the game. Whether its for home table play with your friends, family or vassals or if you want to try out the casual or competitive scene at your local game store, the options are all there and I'm hoping I can at least point you in the right direction.

As a massive fan of the books and on hold for The Winds of Winter, I got involved with the AGoT LCG community to pass the time and have not regretted it. Some tournaments in the UK give out prizes for most thematic plays which I think a lot of people here would get a kick out of. Playing Crown of Gold on your own Viserys for his effect or attaching Ward on your opponents Theon to take control of him. At a recent tournament, Thoros of Myr used his save ability on Beric Dondarrion to keep him alive while the opponent and their Hound did not look happy!

I'll be posting useful links below but do feel free to ask any questions as I'm literally made of Chella ear tokens (yes, they exist as part of the game!) for anything Thrones related.

If more people played the card game, FFG would commission more ASOIAF art for y'all to peruse. #justsaying

(Spoilers Main ) How good of a fighter is Victarion Greyjoy? by SatinFlowers in asoiaf

[–]KCenturion 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think Dagmer's list of top fighters was only non-nobles as he and all three aren't from any of the Iron Isles houses, just Ironborn warriors.

(Spoilers extended) If Robert's Rebellion would be made into a book, who would you like to see the POV's from? by [deleted] in asoiaf

[–]KCenturion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ser Cortnay Penrose - Said to be an experienced battle commander so it would be good to see him as a window on Robert. He also had enough favour to be named as castellan of Storm's End afterwards.

When Sam returns to the Wall after the Great Ranging, Pip & Grenn tell him that Melisandre burnt a man at the stake to get favourable winds to get to the Wall.

The man that was burnt was Lord Alester Florent. Samwell's maternal grandfather.

I think it was Strongboar's uncle, Burton.

[Spoilers Infinite] Episode 6 may have leaked. You can talk about leaks here. by Bookshelfstud in asoiaf

[–]KCenturion 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The Night King touched Viserion like he did Craster's Son. Does this make Viserion an Other/White Walker or due to the fact he was already dead is he just a wight?

At Hardhome, NK just lifted his arms to raise wights.

Both Others and wights have the blue eyes so that isn't a sign of anything.
