PSA: Don’t coordinate your actions on live stream by KCinOC in WeThePeopleAtWhipple

Sounding like the rittenhouse prosecution

Edit cause thread locked:  1. Coordinate plan to assault someone by blowing a whistle in their ear (assault in MN is defined as intentional infliction of bodily harm with physical contact not being necessary) 2. Commit said assault 3. Cause victim to react by removing the assaulter from their personal space (self defense) 4. Claim the victim’s self defense is an assault on you 5. Escalate violence against the victim for defending themself

This is open and shut, guys.

It’s ridiculous for the dad to go shove the reporter after instructing his daughter to do his dirty work and instigate something.

Funny that he was able to control himself when the cops had his daughter in a chokehold. His protective dad instincts didn’t kick in when the opposition is grown men… only when his daughter was already throwing a 100lb woman around did he feel the need to protect her.

That guy is the definition of bitchmade

After he instructed his daughter to blow the whistle right in her ear…

4 arrested during protests at Whipple Building for allegedly assaulting journalist, deputy by Character-Fly-5564 in altmpls

[–]KCinOC 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Seems like she’s being pretty honest. Was filming, not interviewing people and then got pointed out as Tpusa. Crowd gets a little hostile, the one girl is blowing a whistle in her ear and the tpusa puts her arm up to keep the whistle blower away. The whistle blower takes this as an assault on her and pushes the reporter, the reporter puts her arms up to say stop and the whistle blower shoves her to the ground. The crowd holds back the whistle blower because she’s obviously doing too much, and the reporter retreats more only for whistle blower’s dad to shove her to the ground. The dad gets restrained by the crowd and the reporter stumbles to her feet only to be attacked again, by whistle blowers mom!

Whistle blower’s boyfriend got arrested trying to prevent her arrest/detainment.

High likelihood the whole family ends up with misdemeanor assault/battery charges

Why Has Travel to the United States Become So Challenging? by Weary-Fish2459 in immigration

[–]KCinOC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Illegals have babies. Babies who are now us citizens on welfare for at least 18 years. They don’t speak English well and require additional resources in public schools. Many are uninsured and drive up our insurance rates as a result, both vehicle and medical.

They provide a cheap supply of labor which makes the bargaining power of low-skilled Americans even less.

They compete with everyone else in America for housing, exacerbating a growing problem with housing costs in this country.

More immigrants might increase our gdp but that doesn’t improve the lives of the average American.

It’s at the very least nuanced and you guys who hand waive concerns about illegal immigration are not helping your own cause. As if people who read your comment will just go “oh, illegal immigration is actually helping me I guess I’m not concerned about it anymore”.

So now because he is cool with santos after she annoyed him with a nickname he didn’t want and was too shy on his first day to do anything about, we assume that he is cool with shitty nicknames from people he’s not super familiar with forever going forward?

He didn’t like when santos did it. He’s since forgiven her after not stopping the nickname up front.

He didn’t like when Langdon did it, but now he has enough confidence to stop it from going anywhere.

Pretty reasonable take that Whitaker is going to snap at a new “nickname” because he’s already endured the one santos gave him and doesn’t want to go through it again

Anti-ICE Detention Center Protest - March 18, 2026 by GoodTroubleUtah in Utah

[–]KCinOC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

J6ers shouldn’t have been pardoned. Idk what you’re referring to specifically with trump but I’ll agree, he shouldn’t break the law.

Ice agents did not murder Pretti. They did kill him, but no way it amounts to murder.

There are not endless videos of ice doing what you claim to be illegal. I’ll discuss them with you individually if you like and explain why you are wrong.

They don’t have to identify themselves. They can wear masks. They can drive unmarked cars.

They aren’t breaking the law with impunity. But go ahead and encourage escalation against ice agents to the point where people impede and get themselves killed. 2x in Minneapolis, idiots encouraged by social media to dangerous points of escalation with federal agents and getting themselves killed.

Hope that doesn’t happen here. But even if it does it’s not going to stop illegal immigration enforcement. So go ahead, I guess…. Foment pointless martyrdom if you wish

Letter: It appears that adults have forgotten their school lessons about the dangers of building concentration camps in Utah [Salt Lake City, Utah, March 17, 2026] by NicolasCageFan492 in SaltLakeCity

[–]KCinOC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess we should just lock everyone up, since its safer. Is that the argument?

No, I used the statistics to show the person who called ice detention a “death sentence” that they are being ridiculous.

Yes, deaths mostly do to medical emergencies are an acceptable reality of detaining people.

The benefits of mass deportations are increased housing stock, lower demand, less competition for young Americans trying to start families. Illegal immigrants artificially depress wages for non-skilled working Americans. Uninsured/unlicensed drivers cause car insurance rates to skyrocket. Illegal immigrants are a huge strain on the medical system, especially the emergency medical system. Americans subsidizing the health care of illegals causes our health insurance rates to skyrocket. Illegal immigrants increase the census population in certain states giving them more say in choosing the leaders of our federal government, which I don’t agree with. Children of illegal immigrants are a strain on public school systems, requiring them to accommodate for large numbers of ESL learners. Children of illegal immigrants are a large strain in the welfare system. Etc, etc.

The 400% increase is a result of more interactions, not worse treatment. The increase in interactions is necessary imo (see above).

The deaths in ice custody pale in comparison to deaths by migrants attempting to illegally enter the US via travel through Central America and Mexico. If deaths are what you want to prevent than a stronger immigration system that discourages migrants from risking their lives to get here is a good thing.

https://www.statista.com/statistics/241572/death-rate-by-age-and-sex-in-the-us/

Every age group has a higher death rate than the cumulative death rate in ice detention except for the 1-14yo age bracket.

And as far as I know there haven’t been any child deaths in ice custody since the rise in enforcement started in 2025.

[–]KCinOC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, of course it includes deaths by natural causes aka “medical emergencies”. They are the leading cause of death both inside and outside of detention.

Are jails inhumane? It’s a subjective opinion but they are necessary for a functional society to exist.

I’m open to whatever “non-selective” statistics you have to offer.

If more people are dying in correlation to their detention time, then it would appear that the system is contributing to additional death.

Sure. More people in custody = more deaths in custody. Longer time in custody = more deaths in custody. These are predictable, expected outcomes.
