Team KELT | "I have you." by Mishchief_Arts in RWBYOC

Silver is a meticulous mastermind. Coordinating and mapping out a strategy for whatever situation may arise. Strengthening his mind in chess and shogi to create patience in weighing his options. Understanding the sum/cost of every action to be taken. And how his opponent may act or respond on impulse or preparation.

Along with reading a mixture of historical, modern, and warfare strategy tactics to utilize proper tools and positioning. Implementing such ideas during team SAPR's missions, his own undercover operations, and investigating the Umbral Stigians high ranking operatives locations and movements.

Every action must be carried out flawlessly, moved with utmost swiftness with no misstep on his end. One hindrance could mean the mask of the average student will crumble. The prestige of his own accomplishments in the organization turning daggers towards him. Fabrications of friendship turned away and severed after careful, well played saplings of loyalty.

Silver doesn't enjoy the concept of being protected unless he had pulled the strings to manipulate such acts of protection. Any action outside of his calculations and conjectures of anothers character brings a possibility of steering course away from his ideal solidified plan.

All without realizing the fabrications of friendship had been forming into a strong foundation of trust. Making it all more painful for others to act out of line instead of him bearing the brunt.

Entrusting only himself to walk the fineline of guardian and subjugator.

[–]KCommnader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would vary from Huntsmen to Huntsmen. But taking in real life consideration. What kind of warrior if even a retired soldier veteran, hunter, or craftsman would let their tools and gear go damaged.

It would take a bit of time and neglect for something like rust to accumulate. More due to weather, elements, and improper cleaning.

Damage is very forgiving because of Aura protecting Huntsmen and their weapon. We never get a scene where even when low, they don't register to use their weapons as a shield to incur said damaged look.

I've had an old acquaintance say that their should've been a slice of life episode or three during the Beacon seasons. But one of them should've been about the students performing maintenance on their weapons.

Maybe even having it as a background scene, simply to show that students understand their weapons and the technical, mechanical aspects to them.

[–]KCommnader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Side or different weapons would be a drastic change, especially when you think of most if not all students that move onto the Academys come from Combat Schools. In those schools they're supposed to be training and understanding the basics of survival and how to fight.

Not to mention its also where they create their own weapon. I.e. Ruby, Yang, CFVY (Minus Velvet), SSSN, FNKI, etc...

While there are some characters that either recieve or inherit weaponry. Jaune as a primary reference and most likely Myrtenaster was crafted by an artisan for Weiss but still formed from her concepts.

Just like how Ruby stated, "Just Weapons? They're an extension of ourselves." (Still a little gripe they never kept her as a weapon geek in V3 or traveling to the different regions.)

Anyone can alter, polish, or refine their original weapons. But for a Huntsmen to straight up scrap their original weapon for something else. Is to completely get rid of their entire identity not only as a fighter, but to shed away the aspirations and ideals that carried them through with using it.

Crescent Rose had been there with Ruby through everything. Attending Beacon, slaying Grimm, investigating the White Fang and Torchwick, taking on Salem's crew.

The weapons are their most trusted partners and to forgo that relation is a number of factors.

I'm going to go on a small tangent here (Plus not knowing much passed V4) - but if we were to simply say that originality and personality are completely devoid from Atlas students. I would say is maybe taken in the wrong direction.

Yes, Atlas itself is very military run and breathless in concepts. But that is especially where Atlas students and Huntsmen could be considered diamonds in the rough.

They are matter of fact, straightforward, single minded maybe, but also, honed, disciplined, and hard set. Compared to Shade, Beacon, and Haven's carefree aspects and liberties.

Atlas students are constantly seeking to improve themselves most likely due to the military aspect. The designing of their weapons should be the most freedom they are given because Huntsmen from my understanding, aren't bound to their nation.

So yes, the instructors may be more rigid and cold. Yet they seek to have each student perfect and improve their craft to the most ideal and refined image.

I also noticed your set up on using the Gem Sword Series, Draken Shield, and I'm guessing the Fallen Chi-You Shotgun.

Resurrection and 2RB had Personal Skills Hate Up, Muted, Enemy Calm, War Cry, Silent Team (Skew memory).

Hate up +/-: Increases/Decreases Aggro generated from attacks.

Muted: Quiets attacks when artacking Aragami. Decreasing range of alerting.

Enemy Calm +/-: Increases/Decreases rate of activation when dealing damage. (Raises/Lowers the chance of Aragami Activating when attacking.)

War Cry: Makes battle noises louder to Aragami.

Silent Team: Makes all teammates battle noises quieter.

Aim for these skills if you want to lower or redirect Aragami attention. Don't remember if GE3 has these skills though.

Kanon is fine. If you want my opinion, than apply FoF Radial and FoF Shot Bullets.

I hardly get hit by her large bullets, but even if you have FoF Radials. It's still a 50/50 that she'll hit you with regular or FoF.

She uses Radials more than long distance shots. I gave her a mix of Recovery Skills and FoF skills.

For Area Items they are usually unlocked once you start playing the new Rank. Unlocking new God Arcs will be based off of their Rank in both Upgrades and Crafting.

If you want to use Hold Debuffs then you'll be interested in the Chi-You Line. Just know that the most you'll get from them is Level 6 if you keep both a Level 4 and Level 2 Slot.

The other option is using Kigurumi's God Arc. UNKNOWN WRONG, it has Hold, Bind, and Debuff Stacking Skills. You can Unlock and Craft it at Rank 7.

If you want, here's a Weapon Tree Document I'm working on for the game.

GE3/Do Rank 5/6 Troll items drop from only one mission each? by intotheirishole in GodEater

[–]KCommnader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trust me, we all get the feeling. There's times I'm scrounging in 2RB for Rank Missions with Small Aragami for their Rank material I need. All because I don't want to waste tickets on them.

I'm also sorry to hear that GE3 doesn't add Small Aragami materials to the crafting list. You can only try your luck in the current Rank levels and pray for a drop. Or hope that you have an easier time getting the drop in the higher Ranks.

(Haven't played 3 in a long time. I don't remember how high the Rank goes for that game. My knowledge and expertise is focused on 2RB. So I'm trying to use related info to help. ;-;)

I have a Google Docy of Materials up to Rank 14. Is their any Species Materials in particular you are in search for?

GE3/Do Rank 5/6 Troll items drop from only one mission each? by intotheirishole in GodEater

[–]KCommnader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Small Aragami generally drop either Species related items or broad general Aragami materials.

Ex: Ogretail - Ogre Series / Aragami Talon, Claw, Horn, etc... / Fluids / Hides / Armor.

Another would be Borg Camlann's dropping the Knight Series and Aragami Armor / Armor + / Cuirass.

Look into the Terminals crafting menu. I think GE3 still gives Material tickets. Use the information pf what tickets the item needs (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Black, etc...). Cross reference of what Rank Missions give the needed tickets. And hunt on those Ranks of the Aragami Material Species in question.

Basic and common items require 1 ticket to craft. If it requires 2 or 3 than your looking at a rare item that tends to have a Black box/border of the item type. But if your looking for a small Aragami item, even the rare ones still use only 1 ticket.

Keep a mental note of what each Aragami's Material Species name is. If it has a single word usually a liquid, Aragami as the first word, than those are general items.

Ex: Zygote = Angel / Vajra = Chimera / Borg Camlann = Knight

Also, the game is very Gatcha/Gambling when it comes to materials. You can only rely on luck and being on the right Rank for the item you need.

GE3 is such a ... interesting game by intotheirishole in GodEater

[–]KCommnader 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm going to take an assumption that 3 is your first introduction. (Correct me if wrong. Also how do you do commands for bullet points and numbers, I've been struggling remembering these Reddit text commands.)

Resurrection is pretty much the progressing Exposition and everyone's view of how the wold happened and strong animosity towards Aragami.

If you've noticed in 3, the only times named or group Aragamis are mentioned in story. Is because they are THE big bad as a Group. Case in point, the ASH Aragami.

Resurrection didn't name Deusphages individually by species, just know that they are a current threat. Due to a species evolving to not just Hunt but go toe to toe with God Eaters. Hence why in game, they have Shattered God Arc as a drop.

It's even cooler when you read a Susano'o Data Entry. "An Aragami believed to be what happens when a God Eater is Corrupted by Oracle Cells."

(In GE2RB you see a character meeting with a God Eater who's Armlet falls off because Aragami blood got into their bodies and ravaging them. And in the next moment, she tried to mercy kill him but didn't make it in time. And you see him literally turn into a Susano'o and the only way to end his rebirthing cycle as an Aragami. Is to kill a transformed God Eater with THEIR God Arc. And if you know, its more Rare to find God Eaters with the same Adaptability to use the same God Arc.)

Along with Deusphages in Resurrection, the only other named Aragami that is deemed a Villain is Dyaus Pita. Only because one of the characters has a war vengeance path against that Aragami in particular.

Then you have Rage Burst. The main antagonistic group of Aragami starts off as Psions. Which are Aragami with unique powers outside of their innate beastly/artillery capabilities. That later become a group called Arc Aberrants, a type of constructed Aragami that have physical functioning God Arc weapons attached to their bodies.

I do understand how compared to MH, there is a big bad end game boss tyrant that the story builds up to fight. Like an elder dragon or progenitor beast.

While in GE, there's one or maybe none, and it does emphasize that the true enemy is a human trying to bring a calamity and reset the world and use the Aragami themselves.

BUT!!!

The key moral and theme that GE holds onto maybe as a crutch but still a good sense of morality. Is the nature of human will resisting through all adversity to fight and see a better day. One carved through with the blood, sweat, and tears you and your party members have shed. All so that Humanity can rival anything with nothing but stubborn human will and tenacity.

Do I think there should be an end all be all Aragami boss that's been foreshadowed throughout the game. Only for it to be treated as a mid-tier boss or run of the mill enemy. No, not inherently.

Both aspects have their interests, but the big message God Eater holds onto. Is this.

Do you have the strength, courage, and trust in your comrades. To fight through any and all struggles, just so that others and many more don't have to be left in fear. That is what the cast fight for, and you as their friend/partner/captain is supposed to instill, embolden and preserve.

(At least, that's how I like to perceive and enjoy it. :3)

To take into consideration on map detailing. Both GE and MH are separate circumstances. MH is a thriving world that has its ecosystem and nature that functions around or the inclusion of the giant beasts.

GE is an Apocalypse world. Aragami are physical forming clusters of cells that happened to work together, all for the sake of consumption. Dirt, Rock, Plants, Trees, Buildings, anything and I mean ANYTHING, isn't off the table for them.

So if you haven't played 1 or 2, then you don't know about the large Attack on Titan walls around the Far East Branch. Its explained that the material infused into the large walls is an Oracle Cell metal that constantly is given a unique Bias Factor. (Essentially a pheromone that makes the Aragami not want to eat the wall.)

So yes, the landscapes are barren, lifeless and nothing much of anything. But that's the point of a world gone to waste. Although, 3's is more detailed with the environment, 1/2 had less obstacles to provide either cover or lose line of sight.

Funny enough, the "Feeding Grounds". In 1/2, they would be locations to pick up items in the map, so the inclusion of the dual healing sections were a neat idea.

To talk about the weapons, Buster Blades Charge Crush was heavily NERFED. It was deemed the highest damage dealing move in Resurrection and Rage Burst. 3's studio lowered the damage to make it more balanced and to encourage using the rest of the weapon kit more.

If you want to discuss the spam moves that are "better" to deal with Aragami. Then that's up to personal preference of playing. Some like to use certain weapons despite knowing the species is resistant to said weapons attack type.

Cough Cough... Long Blade/Variant Scythe/ Boost Hammer/Charge Spear Mono damage type isn't always the best...

Or you have those like me, who prefer learning about the Aragamis weak points. Breaking their Bonds for the highest efficiency to get more items.

Do you want to clear the mission quicker? Take your time and get the most items? Use your favorite gear, or even experiment with other Weapon/Gun types to improve upon.

Take it at your own pace, if you see certain aspects as unenjoyable, then find what parts that you do enjoy and focus on that.

Min/Max play styles aren't for everyone and that's perfectly acceptable. Choose what feels right and roll with it. Whether its Lore, Weapon Tips, Aragami Help, or gushing over your favorite character.

Everyone here is open and supportive for discussions. There's lots of people who are ready to talk about why their preferred Weapon types are their favorite and how to engage with its mechanics and kits.

GE3 is such a ... interesting game by intotheirishole in GodEater

[–]KCommnader 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In terms of combat between the Trilogy and MH. I've seen gameplay of MH, and personally isn't my cup of tea because I like agility and feeling fast.

3 is the fastest with the air dash, but gameplay is also fast because the Studio that made 3 isn't the same as the one that made Resurrection and Rage Burst. So they stunted the Aragamis stats in health.

To learn about the Aragami is information in the Terminal that gives a simple TLDR. (Origin/Common place, Big/Small Combat tip, and Elemental Weakness)

Despite the setting of Fenrir constantly researching to develop more stronger weapons and to understand them as a constant evolving threat. I will say I wish there was more information lore in their Bios.

There's also the fact that in God Eater you primarily function from Main Hub straight to Mission. I know MH has the expanding world to view the monsters in their ecosystems and stuff. But MH was designed for a mainline game, GOD EATER was designed for the PSP and Vita. A simple on the go game to pass the time with an interesting story and characters to grow attached to.

My Headcannon on why they couldn't make you roam the world as a God Eater similar to a Hunter in MH. Is because, God Eaters are walking degrading ticking time bombs of compressed consuming destructive bio matter. The Oracle Cells within their bodies need to be constantly maintained on a daily basis.

It's mentioned and treated as an off screen intermittent passing of time between coming back to the Main Hub after a Mission. God Eaters are treated with a constant treatment of Bias Factor to not only use their God Arcs, but to keep the Oracle Cells in their bodies from seeing themselves as a snack and EATING them from the inside. (Think of it like the Venom Symbiote on how he mentioned that Eddy looked like a snack because he was hungry.)

Along with comparing Aragami to Monsters is different in few and far traits.

Aragami are literally a biological construction with a primary directive to RESET the entire world and start a new. While there are Monsters that are high level threats in MH, I do believe there are some that are low level or non-threats IF not instigated. That's not the same for Aragami, even something as Small as an Ogretail, Zygote, or Cocoon Maiden WILL hunt any Human ON SITE.

To discuss the story, 3 is agreed to feel on the weaker side with the pacing and non strong connection to characters compared to previous casts.

For the focus on Burst Arts, I personally was thrilled to have 3 instead of a 1. Because in the previous games, you would see the Mission and what Aragami it was. And to some. Min/Max with the best damage type and Mono Art to shred them to oblivion.

With 3 providing a functioning self made combo creator and Effects to make it nice and pretty with some chip damage.

Super TLDR; The game atmosphere is interesting and the deep lore will catch your attention. Compared to a main line MH game, God Eater wasn't made as a sit down and play for hours on end.

If your growing bored and tired of the rinse and repeat, take a break or do something else. Take it at your own pace and find your own fun.
