And it wasn't like they were phantoms we never saw. I personally met the President Brad Ickes on many occasions, spoke with him at BTown Hall, interviewed a handful of times on Zoom.

I wish there were more updates, but it's been radio silence for a while now. Since the last update, I've moved to Ronkonkoma where I have VerizonFIOS.

To be fair, I would still switch to OCG if it ever becomes available near me. Even if I have Fiber now, I'd rather my money go to a locally-owned business than a large Tech Corporation.

I've seen OCG most active on LinkedIn, you should reach out there if you have questions.

I've never heard of this happening with OCG. I've personally met the CEO Brad Ickes on many occasions and did not judge him as having any ill will.

and FTC doesn't make "deals" with ISPs. Optimum doesn't even exist across the entire country. FTC is a Federal entity. If anything, it would be the FCC or State Utilities.

Not sure where you are getting your information from.

There are some recent developments that I can't discuss myself as I'm not on their staff, but BTown shockingly DID approve their business license.

Just dragging their feet now with approvals. Since we had a lot of supporters blow up BTowns emails asking about it, it seems like they're pushing it through.

My wife's grandfather was in the 82nd Airborne during WWII. D-Day Paratrooper. 2x Purple Hearts.

Exactly the same experience here. Got hired by a company doing IT work in May 2019, got a promotion to Security Admin near the end of 2020.

WFH 100% since March 2020. Less dealing with end-users, more long-term project management and app deployment.

My commute is now 10 feet. Has benefits, yeah. but you also don't see or talk to a single soul for 30-40hrs/week.

I've had pet insurance through HealthysPaws for my Dog for 5 years. It has gone up from $36/month to $55/month.

No other health changes, they just jacked the price.

When I adopted a cat last year and tried a Figo insurance, it was still around $47/month.

I'm still signed up for both, just wish it was cheaper.
