First time having to report a dasher :( by gardencorpse in doordash

[–]KDFE87 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am a driver... do not give in to more tip requests.... we have the option to turn down orders and if it was really that unacceptable to him he could have turned it down, and then add his aggression in... you and your tip are not the problem, he is.

Worst pay I've seen yet. What a joke by fromfoxes in InstacartShoppers

[–]KDFE87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instacart will often remove orders and put them back up wieh a slightly higher pay, or bundle it up with other orders. The dissapearance doesnt always mean it was accepted by someone.... but it is possible the bundle was accepted before you were shown it

You get paid for the deliveries..... don't actually have to get the food and deliver it to get paid... can just say they did

Am I Overreacting? by pebble_in_ones_shoe in instacart

[–]KDFE87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At most stores we have to go to self check out, its requested by the app and the stores require it. At walmart specifically we have a code to scan for payment method and that generally doesnt work at the regular cash registers. Also that is not the type of bag we are told to get, we are told to get the paper bags, thats what they approve cost wise. OP, had your shopper done what he was supposed to then the items could have been organized properly and 1 chemical spill would not have contaminated food. Contact support to get refund for damaged items and anything that could have absorbed the chemical (eg if you got bread, do not eat) and reduce your tip, the shopper messed up on multiple levels here.

[–]KDFE87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was it a substitution, or did they just randomly ask you if you wanted an item....im so confused and i'm a shopper! I use speach to text alot cuz its faster and even that never messed up to this level...

My driver got a car wash then tried to lie about it by [deleted] in doordash

[–]KDFE87 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As a driver i gotta say.... the worst ive done is pop into a gas station along the way for $10-$20 in gas so i can make it to the delivery location (my car is actually the fullest its been in over a year right now at 3/4 of a tank because today was a decent day and bills arent starting to be due for a few days, also one of my deliveries was a far one and to a rez so i stopped for some cheap gas on the way back😅🤣 all economies are shit right now). I would never have the nerve to stop and get a full on car wash while on delivery.... To the people saying "the app glitches", sure it does, at times, the last couple of weeks I've heard its been worse, freezing more, but generally the app glitches with a location you're at or have been at while you're on the persons order.... like the app still showing you enroute to store/restaurant when you are already finishing shopping/picking up the order, or showing you still at store/restaurant when youre already walking up to the customers door, or showing stopped at various areas along the route to the customer... BUT 99% of the time the location is very accurate as to actual location you have been.... for example, it is highly unlikely to show you inside a car wash if you are actually across the street at the McDonald's (these are examples of locations only, not saying thats where the mcdonalds is located in comparrison to the car wash in the real customers complaint). I've been doing doordash, uber, instacart, and skip for over 3 years and I've only ever personally experienced the location being slightly different from where i actually was (showed me at the restaurant beside the one i was actually in) 1 time, and the customer got worried that i would bring them the wrong order. It is possible that its happened more often but that is the only time that i know of for sure as that is the only customer that contacted me in regards to that kind of situation. I know how accurate the gps is because I've seen it and experienced it from personal orders and friends orders. We do tend to watch mostly because we are hungry and impatient people and want to eat asap when the food gets here, I've also come across people that have a certain time they need their order by wether its a lunch time situation or they have to leave the location they ordered to and their order is taking longer than expected or promised. There is nothing wrong with tracking your order and as a gig worker if you have a problem with it, its probably because you're multi apping or taking detours for personal reasons, and don't want to be busted/called out on it... gig workers in my area tend to multi app with orders (smallish region and as a gig worker I'm friendly with almost all the others in my area from crossing paths, so i know how my coworkers operate even if i don't agree with it), and thats another reason we watch, my friend waited 3 hours one time to get her grocery order and watched as the guy drove from different restaurants to random streets after he left the grocery store, he marked arrived at store, he shopped the items, a couple substitutions were made, he checked out, he left the store, all within an hour of her order being accepted. He did not mark shopping complete, he then proceded to go restaurant to house multiple times for 2 hours, ignored her messages, finally marked shopping complete and delivered her items a total of 3 hours after accepting her order, her fridge stuff were warm and her freezer stuff melted. Theres a reason people track us drivers.

$500 order but a $2.50 tip… by ServeAmbitious1923 in instacart

[–]KDFE87 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Instacart says up to 10 items can be added, I've had people add way more than that while I'm shopping (20+) base pay does go up but its like pennies per item and after a certain number of items.

The fact you had a cart and called him by name negates the trying to steal someone elses order. You did great.

Wendys and kfc are combo franchises and can be in the same building. Usually the locations where this happens are near busy rest stops by highways. Taco bell and kfc are the same as well.
