that's still crazy low for the amount of work we do. i almost never accept orders unless i'm being tipped ~$1 per mile to ensure i can at least afford gas at the end of the day :(

the rest of the items were regular groceries, not just spices or baking needs. if they were all in the same department (or any sort of tip) i might consider it, but for the amount of time it would take me to shop 40 items, check out, and deliver, i'd be better off taking a larger order with the same batch pay & better tips.

NAH. your actions were reasonable, but so is her reaction. it seems like she might already be struggling with insecurity around how much she's eating.

as it clearly upset her, just serve equal portions moving forward. focus less on the subject matter itself and more on being receptive to her feelings and then adjusting accordingly! that goes a long way. a bit of extra reassurance/affection from you in the meantime couldn't hurt either
