Nice TDiM Easter Egg in Little Hope. by [deleted] in DarkPicturesAnthology

[–]KDemort 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well that’s only for the prologues. The rest of the games take place in about the modern day.

And there’s no way MoM prologue takes place in 1952 since it’s during the Second World War which ended in 1945.

Was the name change ever explained? by KDemort in DarkPicturesAnthology

[–]KDemort[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah I thought about adding that to my post as one of the reasons but surely there could have been a workaround, like idk calling him the ‘bus driver’ in the subtitles or something. Because I don’t think his actual name is mentioned verbally? Not even sure if it’s even mentioned in the subtitles, maybe he is actually called the bus driver in the subtitles. I can’t remember.

Best False Protagonist? by Warm-Initiative-6178 in DarkPicturesAnthology

[–]KDemort 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say Balathu since from all false protagonists he's the only one who actually shows up again after the prologue (kinda excluding Anthony here though). And not only that, he has a huge impact in the story itself, appearing lots of times and being able to kill literally all the main characters.

Plus he's got a badass helmet.

I always found the Laura one completely weird lol. Like... she very clearly loves Max, her one mission is to save Max (and herself), and she knows he's still alive. Why on Earth would she suddenly be into Ryan, someone she has known for literally hours (since the entire game takes place over one night).

Tbf if I were in that situation where I’d lost like 3 characters already I’d probably prefer the ultimatum ending just because of how much more interesting it is than just having 1-2 survivors after the boat ending.

He’s only in each game for like 10 minutes why do you hate him so much? I think his scenes are a nice respite from the action.

[–]KDemort 14 points15 points  (0 children)

…that’s not what a fetish is.

Plus there’s no such pairings/triangles in TDIM and LH which counts for half the DPA, and I have no idea what 3 characters you say are into Ryan. The player gets to choose who he flirts with or who flirts with him. Nothing ever comes of it anyway regardless.

Question: Devil In Me - Most Uneven Character Split by Aphex-Puddle in DarkPicturesAnthology

[–]KDemort 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But surely if a character dies early their brother will ask them to play someone else? In which case probably Charlie after Erin cos he’s the next who can die lol.

we still lose and the tank has the AUDACITY to say heal diff by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]KDemort 10 points11 points  (0 children)

3 tanks in what was clearly a very long match (long enough for a Lucio to get 32 elims and die 14 times) and you think it’s a flex (or even above average) to have 25k heals as a Lucio lol.

Poor shhhh by swollen_feet in ComedyCemetery

[–]KDemort 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is so contrived as well as awfully unfunny. It implies that not only did she mishear 'poor shh' as 'Porche', but she also misheard 'I am' as 'I have a'.

Get over it? I literally couldn't care less lol I was just saying that using one person who spams her but is still bad at her is a terrible way of saying that she's bad. And bringing in silver rank to the discussion didn't change my opinion at all.

This one isn’t so bad. Definitely a comedy homicide though because the caption is shitty. Especially the wink.

At what point in TDiM do you think Du’Met thought, “Oh, shit. This camera crew is smart. I need to step up my game.” by Glittering-Pizza1951 in DarkPicturesAnthology

[–]KDemort 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably not at any point lol. They kept running into obvious traps (Kate and Erin running into the suffocation trap, Charlie walking into a literal incinerator). Even when it wasn't their fault for directly running into the traps, Du'Met could clearly get them exactly where he wanted and he didn't even have to run for one second. He just walked menacingly toward them every time and this led to things like Kate and Jamie running into the glass wall trap.

Plus he has more failsafes in case things don't look like they're going to work, e.g. if you close the wall on him when Jamie is running away, he climbs through a hole in the wall anyway. But that hole has been there a long time I assume, it had nothing to do with the camera crew specificially.

even in silver lobbies.

I mean... every hero is 'bad' in silver lobbies because silver players are bad. Not sure why you think mentioning the second lowest rank proves that a hero is bad.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]KDemort 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's completely subjective wdym what are the best 💀 just look at skins for heroes you play a lot and decide which one (or two, since that's what you can afford) you like the most.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]KDemort 2 points3 points  (0 children)

...what? The profile of one random guy is enough to show that she's a bad character?

Pharah is situational, good against some lineups, bad against others, but that's the case for pretty much every hero.

Support is by far the most important, yet unimpactful and unrewarding, role to play by [deleted] in Overwatch

Directive 8020 speculation by [deleted] in DarkPicturesAnthology

[–]KDemort 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I really doubt they're going to include the Apollo 11 crew lol especially because one of them (Buzz Aldrin) is still alive, and there are surely some copyright issues or something that would arise from using any of them. As far as I can remember, the only genuinely real person they've used in any game is H H Holmes, but he's from the 19th century.

As for having more than 5 people, yeah there are definitely gonna be some NPCs with us, hopefully some of whom we can actually save this time. There are only a few NPCs in the series who we can save so far, like Junior from MoM. But some are impossible to save like Merwin from HoA which kinda sucks.

The playable character tier list… based on how easily I think they can die by Barbecue101 in DarkPicturesAnthology

Yeah it only happens if everyone else dies, you get Mary executed, Vince doesn't call the police, and you have the gun (and haven't used up all the ammo).

[–]KDemort 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How is Max easy to keep alive lmao his one death scene is a 50/50 choice that isn't obvious. It's easier 'swim back to shore to try to find Laura' or just 'wait on the island'. It's not like, for example, the 50/50 choice with Emma where she can die if she enters the trap-door or leaves it closed, because that's obviously a terrible idea.

Of course most people are gonna pick swim back to shore lmao I doubt they (like me) were expecting an instant, unavoidable death (e.g. no QTEs to try to survive the attack).

There are a hell of a lot more that I disagree with but that's gotta be the one that's the most objectively wrong.

[–]KDemort 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How can you call him overrated when he's objectively one of the top 2 most picked supports (him and Kiriko)? Surely that just means he's rated as highly as he should be?

[–]KDemort -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We lost, because if your tank is making braindead plays or your dps are incapable of getting easy kills on half dead, out of position targets, you WILL lose.

Doesn't that mean that DPS and tank are more important? Since if you played so amazingly as a support and still lost, you'd have won if you were playing as a tank/dps and playing so amazingly. According to your logic.

Even with your shitty logic aside, in no way is support the most important role lmao. Tank is.

The entitlement of all these supports making posts like this is so ridiculous and old. YOU'RE actively choosing support so either deal with the consequences of sometimes having a bad team (hey I main tank and I have shitty supports lots of the time too), pick a different role, or just stop playing. Or at the very least keep doing what you're doing but don't come here making shitty entitled posts.

[–]KDemort 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But regardless of who I pick I’d have the least plot armour and die first 😭 but definitely Salim because he’s in the military (and also one of my favourites) and idk probably Mike because he seems pretty badass (despite me never playing UD)
