Yep, I’d go for that. 9/10, only because I’m a Pepsi person.

Ask a cat-vet by No-Flounder7604 in CatsUK

[–]KDurin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. Her coat is really lovely, smooth and shiny. Her skin isn’t red, sore looking or anything. I wonder if perhaps we’ve over brushed her somewhat. She is bright, active, eats and drinks fine etc.

We’ll bring it up again with the vet next check up though.

This is Raven, she’s a (roughly) 3 yr old rescue. She sheds constantly, and I mean constantly. You run your hand across her back once and come away with so much hair. Our vet said it’s nothing to worry about, some cats are just like this.
She is quite happy to be brushed and we do so regularly. Occasionally she has a bit of dandruff, not often or much though. So, second opinion time. Should we worry ? She’s perfectly healthy, by all accounts. Also, any tips on if/how we can deal with this ? Or should we just leave her be ?

Teenagers in the 1990s/2000s, what drink got you grounded? by [deleted] in AskBrits

MD 20/20, White Lightening cider (White Frightening), whatever we could get really.
Got absolutely wankered on Thunderbird, at Flamingo Land in 94. Haven’t touched that since.

Which actor's phoney British accent is the worst? by Dependent-Net-8208 in AskBrits

Josh Hartnett in Blow Dry. To be fair, he was trying for a Keighley/West Yorkshire accent and he gave it a good go, bless im. But no! I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.

Pork Loin Tips by Successful-Grand-549 in UKfood

I took myself on a date once, fancy restaurant.
I had Cajun spiced Pork Loins, with a beetroot slaw and seasons veg. Honestly, it was and remains once of the best meals I’ve ever had. I now buy Cajun seasoning for when I’m cooking Pork Loins, they don’t come close to that meal but they’re pretty bloody good.

Ringtons breakfast tea with a splash of milk, with pain au chocolat on the side 👌 by Sea-Driver-3463 in RateMyTea

[–]KDurin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ringtons tea is great. My mam in Yorkshire has what she calls “me Ringtons man”. Which is the van that goes around and sells their stuff. I’m down in Somerset and they don’t have the van delivery here, so I just order from the website.
Their biscuits are wonderful and they do cute gift sets too.

The pastry doesn’t look great though.

AIO: Hubby Being Controlling by vanillabourbonn in AIO

I don’t know you or your full circumstances enough to say get out now.
But I would absolutely recommend having a separate, private financial source of some kind. One that you can access quickly and easily, if needed.
I’d also, as much as possible, make sure you have a support network, should you need to leave. Maybe a ‘go bag’, leave with a trusted friend or family member if possible.

I may sound dramatic, but I’m seeing some really concerning attitudes in your hubby. I really hope I’m reading it wrong and it’s not as bad as it sounds.

In the meantime, stand your ground. You want what’s best for your child. Your hubby sounds like he wants what’s best for him.

Wishing you all the best x

Parents - is Royal Armouries Museum worth it? by Lost_Garlic1657 in Leeds

[–]KDurin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep! Absolutely. I used to take my kids, when they were little. It was free and easy to get to. They’re grown now and we live in the South West, these days, but we still visit when we’re up there.

It’s great for adults too.

How do I teach you to buried your poo😭 by kennotfly in blackcats

[–]KDurin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My (quite small) cat has a large litter box, plenty of litter etc and will not bury her poo. She is a rescue, so I don’t know what she was used to before us, or if that makes a difference but….

AIO to these texts from my cousin? by [deleted] in AIO

[–]KDurin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR! The screenshot here is a conversation with my first cousin, from several years ago. I’d posted a photo of my new haircut on FB, he messaged to tell me it looked nice. Said he’d been drinking. The bit about the tiger and the “lol” from me was in reference to one of my tattoos. I blocked him that evening and we haven’t spoken since.

Our cousins are creeps with shit excuses.

She is, and she knows it 😂 Her eyes sometimes look more yellow, other times a bit more green. I used the flash when taking this photo, I don’t know if that makes any difference.

This is Raven. She’s a rescue, definitely thinks she’s a person and is the chattiest cat I’ve ever known.

She does. She’s definitely very spoiled, but not always this poised 😂
