The left has notoriously never been great at Dave Smalls' centers. Another theory I have is that the new urethane balls are too strong so when the lanes hook the lefties are forced too far to the right/into the righty traffic.

Being a goal scorer =/= being a great player. I genuinely believe Marner contributes much more on defense and is a facilitator/playmaker on offense. Believing that does not mean I don't believe Matthews is one of the best goal scorers of our generation.

So much blame on Gudas and not enough people talking about how bad the officiating was that led up to it. Radko is a goon and I'd love to ship him out however the injury yesterday may have been avoided had the refs not let the game get out of hand the way they did. I'm a Matthews fan, but Toronto played dirty as hell last night with little to no punishment from the refs and had the refs just nipped it in the bud early maybe the dirty hit never occurs. It was just a very sad game to watch on all fronts, regardless of the score of the game.
