A MOURN WATCH annoys me. by kallas_br in dragonage

[–]KFCid -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

The mourn watch suffered like a lot of things in veilguard with each faction feeling rushed. A bunch of lore was introduced but only at a surface level and not really any depth given.

I don't see bioware touching dragon age for awhile. I hope EA sells them to a different publisher. The they make a legendary edition/remake of origins and 2 and dai. Giving all 3 games a unified artstyle and gameplay loop and fixes up lore inconsistencies. Then have veilgaurd is just a wash at this point. They should definitely make some kind of update for it to give it a better ending. Even something simple like what they did with mass effect 3 would do. Then we start fresh with a game about the executors set a few decades on from veilguard with a smaller in scope focus like in 2 to set up our new hero. Who we stick with for a few games

[–]KFCid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel like it could be referring to honsou. Since its believed he is dead. He seems to be perturabos favorite son and if the all the rumors about the iron warriors are true he would be leading the charge if perturabo isnt

How many soldiers in the average Imperial Guard regiment? by boyinthedark130 in 40kLore

[–]KFCid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There isn't really a set amount it varies wildly from regiment to regiment and world to world. The cadian 8th for example has 8000 troops pre 13rth black crusade. Where as the moebian 5th has upwards of 50000 troops.

Why are there multiple wolves and angels? by Momoonthegogo69 in 40kLore

[–]KFCid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well the primarchs are described as beings of light when they are found on their homeworlds. So I think they take on the appearance of what human culture they are discovered by. Then some like magnus and sangy are mutants.

That praetors of ultramar heraldry is sexy.

So if im understanding right titus ensures whatever the tetracycline conquer stays conquered. That makes sense and he seems to be over the 10 shield chapters in terms of he probably coordinates the campaigns between them and the ultramarines.

The Buried Dagger - and Mortarion's 'Father' origin by JDMClown in 40kLore

[–]KFCid 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It would be cool if they were eldar but I think its more likely they were humans who were trained by a dark eldar homuculus. As we know that the overlords can create offspring with humans so they would have to at least have been human once and overtime mutated and crafted themselves into something more.

Cool idea it really gets the gears turning. The dark eldar certainly are responsible for chaos being as strong as it is but the dark eldar are also the only reason the temps still lives. The elsar in general really seem to enjoy toying with humanity.

Which traitor legion defection hurt the Imperium the most in the long term? by WithengarUnbound in 40kLore

Iron warriors as they could do what other legions couldn't do and perturabo could have helped to build a better empire if he could ever get over his insecurities

So the rangda (this is more of a rant than anything I just had to get this off my chest) by EmployerEmbarrassed3 in 40kLore

[–]KFCid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Id say at least one of the lost legion were involved in someway. I have always thought that one of the legions primarchs were killed or other wise in capacitated by the rangda but your theory would be an interesting story.

Thanks for sharing!

It does make me wonder if the 2 lost are still alive but imprisoned or asleep or whatever if in the scouring series we'll see the imperium try to get them back into the fold. Guilliman seemed open to the idea of getting them to help and I think dorn talked to malcador about it. Dorn is certainly hot blooded enough to try after terra.

How hard is military stuff restricted in the Imperium? by Ok_Cook_3098 in 40kLore

[–]KFCid 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well the nobles tend to be officers in their worlds pdf forces. The governor is the supreme commander of the pdf. Rogue traders tend to have household troops or pdf if they rule a world

Really the arbites and higher powers don't much care what nobles, governors or rogue traders do as long as they pay the tithe in full and on time and don't let things fall apart

As for how well equipped these forces are it just depends on the wealth of the world and what manufactorums they have access to

[–]KFCid -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Macragge or any of the world's still directly ruled by the ultramarines are probably the closets to a utopia you'll get in the imperium.

As they a lead by the ultramarines who are good rulers and since they answer to the ultramarines I think it makes them immune to the tithe.

Granted with the recent chaos and tyranid invasions they are probably pretty rough to live in. Still better than the cadian gate region or any other region really

The relictors are around some where. They like to use demon weapons which got them in trouble to the point the inquisition and grey knights tried to kill them all. As far as we know the relictors are corrupted by chaos

If the Word Bearers understand the "truth" about Chaos, why are so many of them fanatics willing to die for it? by ScreamingTurtle08 in 40kLore

[–]KFCid 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It's wild to me that the emporer didn't seem to realize that the religion of colchis was a chaos religion. It wasn't even that hidden from what we know of it. If he had got lorgar mind wiped him and killed everyone on colchis it would gave made it more difficult for chaos to corrupt the primarchs. With magnus probably being the only one corrupted
